Glad they keep playing these games during church. Saves my sanity not watching what appears to be uninspired play and terrible coaching.

I know there are still matches to be played, but where do y'all fall on the best way to finish the season?

1. Miracles abound, finish top 4.
2. Barely make top 6 and play Europa again next season. Nice to get that European competition cash.
3. No European competition next season. Full season focused solely on premier league.

I'm thinking Mourinho is out with options 2 and 3
What about Kane's future? Do we sell one generational super star and buy some new great talent, albeit not as great as Kane?

Maybe I'm overly jaded by the recent results, but I'm leaning scenario 3, Mou out, Kane out (for a bank worth of cash). Full rebuild year with 2-3 $40-50M new stars focused only on Premier League.

Feels like we almost need option 3 to force a new way of thinking. As long as we continue to play for a Euro Cup and still have Kane on board, the way of thinking won't change. At least if we miss out and Kane goes then we can basically start fresh

Looking like Nagelsmann will go to Bayern. Not really sure who we would get now. Scott Parker being floated around but not too confident in that

I'm so disgusted.

I feel like we miss Champions league and the rumor (some sports writers are putting out there) is Kane has a plan to leave Spurs if we miss CL next year.

If Kane leaves I'm done. I'll follow whoever he goes to.

F it.

The only way Mourinho should keep his job is finishing top 4 AND a league cup win. If it's either or, he should go (but if we lose on 4/25 and somehow manage to finish top 4, I can see Levy keeping him on).

Our defense has been abysmal for someone who's supposed to be a defensive specialist. Jose's negative affect - often throwing the players under the bus rather than accepting responsibility - isn't healthy. You could argue that everyone knew that going in, & this was a short-term play to capitalize on Kane's prime & get some hardware, but crashing out of Europa how we did & the insane number of points we've dropped from winning positions this year has to mean Jose's out. Just look at United. Pogba was public enemy #1 when Jose was there & he called Luke Shaw a total bust & those two were arguably the best players on the pitch on Sunday.

I think the best case scenario is honestly to take some medicine. We need to be rid of Jose. However that happens, I am honestly ok with it. It probably also means Kane moves on & good on him; I hope he wins some major trophies.

Whoever comes on board next, I hope we can salvage Dele, sign Son to an extension, & start a rebuild. This was probably what Pochettino meant when he said there was going to need to be a new 5-year plan (it seems like we don't have any plan at the moment). & while we're on Poch, I am rooting hard for PSG this year & I wish that Dele had had the opportunity to move on. As much as I love Spurs, I feel nothing like I did when Lucas Moura lifted us over Ajax a few years ago. That team made you believe, this one makes you think, "How will we blow it?"

Well said. It speaks volumes to sign Rodon from the Championship level and he's your best CB.

To go from Jan and Toby.....to Dier and Davison is just such a massive decline....especially with the way the manager plays. We're still so damn good when we are on the front foot and aggressive....we have some really talented world class players, but we get that lead and then rely on that back line and it's a joke.

Really really frustrating season

He's never been good without a top 3 wage bill in the world. He was never getting that here.

Only two goals mistakes by Everton

It's the equivalent of playing with one of the Bulls teams and relying on Bill Cartwright

We don't deserve Kane. Holding out hope for a miracle and he can lift a league cup before he leaves and wins bigger silverware elsewhere.

He needs to leave this summer. He should be consider one of the best strikers to have ever played but he can't get that with no hardware. He can't wait any longer.

I think this is one of those "the train is rolling, might as well be on it" situations, but this is going to ruin soccer as we know it.

Also, it's such a monopolizing move, I wouldn't be surprised if Levy is right at the front of all this trying to build a Europe Soccer NFL. He's obsessed with NFL and is seeing a way to cut out FIFA and UEFA in the same way NFL had destroyed any other American football league.

Yep. This is horrible for soccer. Sad my club is in on it. EPL and Champions League were already wonderful.

If true, respect to Jose. Super league is BS

I feel like Jose would absolutely be against SL but I also feel that, if this is true, he probably used it a bit to his advantage. Super League or no Super League, he knew he was on shaky ground at Spurs. Saw an opportunity to go out a hero and took the early exit.

So how the hell are they going to squeeze 18-21 more midweek games into the schedule with league games, domestic cups, euro leagues, and international breaks?

I don't think that's possible is it? Something has to go or are the domestic cups just going to become fodder for the bench guys to play.

It says 20 teams in 2 10 team divisions with round robin home/away on your division games. Then QF and semifinals and finals.

Also I look forward to Spurs being bottom half of this consistently.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EDIT - I see now that it replaces Champions League/ Europa League play for those teams.

Hmmmm. Interesting that the top German and French teams said no.

Also...

"As previously announced by FIFA and the six Federations, the clubs concerned will be banned from playing in any other competition at domestic, European or world level, and their players could be denied the opportunity to represent their national teams.

I feel like it is mainly speculation as most players (from my understanding) are against the super league also. But who actually knows, if true it cements Jose as a legend in my book.

First manager under the age of 30 for an EPL team.

He is SPURS through and through - 20 of his 29 years spent in Tottenham club (some out on loan).

Don't know what that will mean on the pitch. He will lead us into a Cup Final on Sunday.

Hold onto your butts.
