OKC looking good. Spurs look good also. Should be a great series that goes down to the wire.

OKC is very, very fast. On the perimeter, the only Laker who can stay close to his man is Artest, but Durant still put up 25 points on 50% shooting.

Going to be a short series if the Lakers don't figure something out.

This was less about how bad L.A. looked than how damn good OKC did. Literally the only thing the Lakers can do different is put Kobe on Westbrook to start the game.

The most telling thing about OKC is that their two best defenders (Sefolosha, Ibaka) are neither of their top three scorers (Durant, Westbrook, Harden). And they are ALL young. That is a potent combination.

The only bright spot in this is LeBron may NEVER get a ring.

OKC shot 53% because they were getting open shots in rhythm. That's also why SA shot over 50% in their last two games and why Denver was over 50% a couple times in that series, iirc. Might be time to accept that LAL is going to give up high shooting percentages sometimes; it's not luck when it keeps happening. There was a stretch where OKC hit some tough shots, but that was after they were up 25 or so.

Bryant covered Westbrook a number of times early, but he was scraped off by picks pretty easily each time.

LAL was getting caught by picks or going under them... if they do that, OKC is probably going to hit a lot of open 15 foot jumpers in this series. If they fight over the picks, Bynum and Gasol might be able to clean up the mess with help defense. It's going to be tough though, OKC is really fast and the perimeter defense isn't doing anything to slow them down, which is why Lawson was able to score in the lane at will for long stretches in the first round.

Session was awful, and it doesnt look like it's gonna get any better. he sprained his ankle early, and was getting absolutely torched.

You're an idiot if you don't recognize that the Lakers will obviously pass the Spurs in the standings 2 months ago. And Popovich had no chance in hell of winning COY. And Sessions obviously has more upside than that hack Tony Parker.

There is no question Sessions is an upgrade over Fisher. If you've watched the Lakers play the last few months, the difference is plain as day. But did he suck in Game 1? Yes. Pretty sure Fisher outscored he and Blake combined. OKC could do no wrong on Monday. I expect a closer game tonight but the same result.

I expect a closer game.

Funny, because the last time the spurs played this exact lakers team, they ripped through them, too. The last time they played this exact OKC team, they ripped through them. Amazing what playing an overrated Laker team will do to some of you. The OKC/Spurs series will be at the very worst for the spurs very close. If OKC is going to make it to the finals, they are going to have to scratch and claw their way through a tough spurs team. They won't be ripping through them by any stretch of the imagination.

I wish Ibaka would spend some time with Hakeem, and learn that every blocked shot doesn't need to go into the seats. Keep it in play, let your guys track the ball down.

If the Thunder want to take control of this series then their bench needs to out play the lakers bench every game. The lakers starting 5 is very strong, but they fall off quickly after that

On D, Artest literally wrapped up the player setting a screen for Harden and then and pushed him into Harden. Then he grabbed the loose ball and then got up the court and drew a foul against Fischer.
