Thunder.dodged a huge bullet there.

Dont think the lakers can survive that. Shouldve taken the game. Thunder in 5 now. It was going 7 if the lakers stole this one

Kobe was 0-4 with a turnover in the last 6 minutes of the game.

(no sarcasm) Good call to get Blake the ball in a situation in which EVERYONE thought Kobe would. Caught OKC completely off guard and gave Blake a wide open shot. Sure he missed, but it was still a good call. BBall is a team sport and the other players need to be able to hit those shots when everyone is guarding Kobe.

people blaming Blake are retarded (including Kobe). they defended Kobe like a blanket on that inbounds, what is Artest supposed to do, force it to Bryant?

Kobe with 2 turnovers, an air ball, a brick off the back iron, and 0 points over last two minutes.

Blake is to blame. He missed a wide open shot. I guess you meant Artest and Brown?

Fantastic meltdown by Kobe. Epic.

Lakers by 7, 2 minutes to go
Kobe bad pass --> turnover, Durant layup
Kobe fumbles ball out of bounds
Kobe has his fadeaway blocked --> turnover, Harden layup
Kobe misses wide open 3
Kobe waits way to long to make a play before Thunder commit foul to give --> only 5.7 seconds left
Kobe calls a play in the huddle for Steve Blake to take the final shot (because we all know that no one listens to Mike Brown))

Well that ****ing sucked. All on Kobe. Up by 7 with 2 min to go you don't throw the ****ing ball away twice.

They never should have been in that situation. Kobe let the clock run down way too far before committing to a move before the foul to give. Even then, Blake should have been shooting that shot with at least 8-10 seconds left, not less than 5

They switched durant onto kobe for that play when he got it to gasol. Good steal by durant, long arms. Kobe shouldve forced the issue for once.

The second pass off his hands was not on kobe. He thougt westbrook was gonna tip it, forced pass across halfcourt by Blake

For as ****ty as Harden was for 3.5 quarters of this game on the offensive end, his defense on Kobe was fantastic.

Collapse all-around by the Lakers. So much fail in the last 1/8th of the game.

I'm not sure what game Mike Brown was watching, but Kobe was NOT open on that play to Blake.

I'm just going to leave this here...

Ramon Sessions is the lost soul... The Lakers thought they were acquiring the athletic playmaker they've long needed, enough to make Derek Fisher expendable. So far, it appears, they've given Kobe another Smush Parker.

Sessions with 2 points and 0 assists. Kobe with 20 points on 25 shots, and very few rebounds or assists. OKC scores 77 points and still wins.

Awesome.

look for a memo to come down from the commissioner...can't have the Lakers bouncing out this early. OKC vs. SA is a dreadful, dreadful, TV matchup. Beyond awful

Looking likely:
SA vs OKC
Indy vs Boston
SA vs Indy

Stern's wet dream of:
LA vs LA
Miami vs Boston
LA vs Miami
Looking unlikely.

Miami will get to the finals. Don't know if they can beat OKC or SA without Bosh, though.

Only if you aren't a fan of basketball and your main reason for watching is to see Jack Nicholson, Billy Crystal or Jimmy Buffet sitting in the stands.

San Antonio is playing brilliant basketball right now. If you love the game, you have to love the way the Spurs are moving the ball and hitting the open man EVERY TIME DOWN. It is beautiful to watch.

OKC is not that bad at it either.

The Lakers are damn near unwatchable.

Indiana wins one game against the Heat and already everybody is penciling them in for the NBA finals? Say wut?
MassAggie97

Agreed.

I would bet a lot of money against Indiana in that series.

I also think the loss of Chris Bosh is being overplayed. He wasn't having that great of a year anyway. Even without him for the rest of the series, Miami is the better team talent-wise.

Stern had his boys keep the Lakers in this one early. When the Thunder went up 28-21 or so in the 2nd the refs called 5 fouls on OKC in the next 2 minutes while also allowing Ron Ron clothesline Collison. That was all the Lakers needed to keep them in the game.

If that sequence doesn't happen and OKC continues their mini run, the Lakers get beat by double digits again and people quit watching. Kudos to Stern for taking the bull by the horns.

I think it will be a split. Especially since the Lakers finally figured out the Thunder (according to Bynum).
