Kobe ball hogging is a joke. Dude has about .05 % of the clutch-ness that MJ had.

Mercer do you think that turnover just got Pau and his 19MM traded in the offseason?

I like Pau but since they absolutely refuse to use the most skilled big man in the game they might as well deal him. Hes got the most trade value besides Bynum--who is apparently untouchable despite being a loafing d-bag head case.

Kobe tried to hard tonight, but the rest of the team is terrified of the ball in crunch time. Pau shouldn't be, but the murdered his confidence by not allowing him to play on the block all year--news flash Mike Brown, not every 7ft euro is Dirk.

Durant is about the only sip player I kinda halfway like (in any sport), but the dude sucks on defense. Wow. I've seen him walking back to the other side after an offensive possession, sucking on help-side, etc.

I hope she can catch him when he's ****ed up out of his mind and convince him that his sprit animal really wants him to go on a vision quest coaching the lakers next year.

Mike Brown sucks btw. He blew in Cleveland, and he still blows.

I think Kobe is the guy to blame. Tonight, just like in game 2, he insisted on taking bad shots down the stretch instead of letting anybody else get involved (Bynum had a hell of a game and was abusing everyone that tried to cover him, so of course he never got the ball in the 4th).

Mike Brown isnt going anywhere. Hes done just well enough to secure he gets a full 82 game season and roster.

Farmer, agreed. Way too much ball-hogging from Kobe, IMO.

Andrew Bynum & Pau Gasol combined for only 8 points in the second half.

Bynum gave up the go ahead rebound to perk. And gasol gave away the game-losing turnover.

Yeauhhh...give them

I still don't think either team can beat the Spurs, but if one can it's OKC. Spurs would abuse the lakers, IMO.

Can't win with Kobe. Can't win with Lebron. Neither guy is perfect (or MJ) but pretty much any coach would kill to be in that situation. Mike Brown sucks.

Bynum pouts and does stupid **** when he's ignored. The Lakers shifted their gameplan away from him after he single handedly murdered the Thunder in the first half. Maybe by the end of the 4th q, it was too late to get him involved again. I have no idea (I think tonight counts as an implosion btw). But it seems like it would have been worth it to try. Couldn't have been worse than Kobe taking running, off-balance 3 pointers and long range fadeaways.

I knew LA couldnt beat okc. I would have liked to have seen a matchup with SA though. Size bothers the Spurs, and I'm not sure they could have run on LA like they did in the regular season. Alas, SA runs a tight ship and instead off ****ing around during the last month of the season they killed it and got the 1 seed. Pop knows what he's doing.

That's pretty much what the TNT guys said, farmer. Kobe is great at making difficult shots, but there are only so many of those you can make. Go back to your gameplan!

Bynum also said in post game that he didn't touch the ball. He was not a happy camper.

Lakers are done. They are just not an elite team this year and OKC and Spurs have completely exposed them in the past month.

Bring on the WCF.

Who cares if Durant made the game winning shot?

Westbrook was 15-26.

westbrook was a beast, and he will have to do that at least four games against the spurs for them to have any shot in the wcf

Cokehead snorts too much coke. Actually makes him think he knows what hes talkig about

Bynum could very well be the best center in the nba for the next 6 years

I like Kobe and I admire his work ethic. But I'm thinking his ball hogging is taking the rest of the team out of these games.

He thinks he's the only one stepping up. But everyone is watching him because they think that's just the way it is.

the lakers dont run any semblance of offense for half the game, just dump it to kobe and stand around watching him take contested fadeaways

They need a better coach than Mike Brown to make Kobe step back in line in the last few minutes of games and keep Bynum/Gasol involved all night.

If the Lakers are playing at their best and as a team and the Spurs are having an off night they can win. They just couldn't do that 4 of 7.

OKC has some great talent but they don't have the crispness and coaching of the Spurs. They have a punchers chance but it is going to be very difficult, the Spurs are just playing at a different level right now with incredible discipline and poise.

Here's what I can't figure out. According to Lakers fans, Kobe is one of the 5 greatest players ever, and Bynum is the best center in the NBA. If Kobe is so great, then why can't he get it done, especially given that he gets to play with the best center in the league? It's not like LA won't spend to get solid role players around Kobe and Bynum. Nobody outspends LA. So what's the deal? You've got the Black Mamba, the best center in the league, spend more one than anybody on the supporting cast, and you can't even compete with a small market team with one great young player and (maybe) the fourth best point guard in the league.

Pretty pathetic.

According to spurs fans, they have the best coach and best power forward ever, the best point guard in the league, one of the best passing shooting guards ever, and one of the deepest benches ever, yet they got bounced in the first round the last two playoffs. What gives?
