Guys I don't know what to do with myself. I spent so much of my time waiting and watching each game and in between reading recaps and previews and different hypotheses as to what will happen. Now I'm just bored. The offseason for the Spurs is always pretty quiet, but especially after winning a championship, all we really need to do is resign everyone. I need Aggie football to hurry and get here.
I am hoping for a decent NBA draft and early July free agency to keep the Spurs high going a few more weeks. I am really excited to see if they go after Gasol or a decent named player. The Spurs have more flexibility than people realize this year if they want to clear space.
The world cup and baseball (especially with the rangers being so bad), just aren't cutting it.
Add to it that Game of Thrones and Walking Dead are over and it is going to be a long few months for TV until football season.
Good thing we have an early football game this year in late August!
The dead time when there isn't any good sports being played. At least I can watch some World Cup but that doesn't keep my attention after the games like basketball.
The world cup is one of those things that makes me question whether or not I could really care less. Like, would I care if the US won? I think so, but at the same time my level of care is 0 when they lose, so maybe not. I think I've watched 20 seconds of the world cup in my lifetime combined and even that was by accident.
1. Clint Capela 2. Eldrid Payton 3. Kyle Anderson 4. Jordan Adams
Spurs draft prediction:
1. Vasilje Micic 2. Nikola Jokic

The Spurs will be pretty tight money wise if they are able to bring back Bobo and Patty and the possibility that they draft an american is probably pretty unlikely IMO. Another draft and stash prospect is probably more feasible at this point.
Especially if the Spurs have plans to bring over Davis Bertans (not sure what the plan is here). But if this happens then they will surely be drafting another draft and stash player.
The Spurs trading their pick for a pick in next years draft is also a possibility as well.
Spurs also have two second round picks this year late in the draft.
So much for 2015 NBA Champs hopes. I swear that every NBA season Manu preceeded with summer play has been injury plagued since he turned 30. Maybe Patty will get resigned and become a better creator to pick up the slack.
I can't blame Manu. I am sure he knows his elite playing days are coming to the end. He just got a redemption championship and he wants to play for his country while he still can help them. That is the kind of fire and heart that makes him who he is and a great player and a great Spur.
As you said, there is no reason Pop can't give him the first month or two of the season off if he is worried about it. Meanwhile use those extra minutes to enourage Green to work on your driving, tell Marco it's his time to earn some money and significantly contribute in a contract year, use it to re-sign Mills stating that he will be getting even more minutes if he stays and tell Kawhi it's time for him to score 18-20 pts a night and become an All-Star. All four of those guys further developing while Manu rests makes the Spurs even better come next June and further shapes the Spurs for life after Manu which may come as early as 2016.
