For so called basketball experts this is an idiotic observation. The Spurs have 5 players older than 25 right now.

Spurs finally lost a game 84-81 to the jazz. Played awful in the first half, but fought back in the second half. Lonnie finished with 19 and 8, but was really quiet the first 3 quarters before going off in the 4th. I'd like to see him start out with the kind of assertiveness that he finished with. His midrange pull up game is looking really good, and he even pulled up and drilled a 3. He's not gotten any opportunities for catch and shoot 3s because he's the only guy that can always create, so hopefully when he plays with the big team and can play off the ball he'll be able to knock some of those down. Watching him get rebounds is something special. Dude just floats when he jumps.

Weatherspoon did some nice things. Knocked down a couple threes, but didn't finish around the rim as well tonight. He moves his feet well on but has a bad of habit of reaching in and picks up some cheap fouls.

Eubanks has some nice moves in the post and has developed a solid midrange jumper, but man his timing isn't great when going for rebounds/blocks. It's not a good look when our 6'5" SG is consistently our best rebounder on the floor.

He won't make the big team, but man Thomas Robinson really lacks awareness. I wondered how a guy goes from top 5 pick to playing on a summer league team trying to make an NBA squad, and now I know why. Just does some really dumb things out there. He plays hard and has the physical tools that he should be able to be an NBA player, but he's missing something in his brain to make it click.

Back when he was with the Rockets I covered a few games with Thomas Robinson and it was really weird. In warmups, he was jumping through the roof, has all the perfect measurables, then the game starts and he might as well be picking daisys.

It's thing like tonight we're down something like 5 with ~1:30 to go. Utah misses a free throw, he goes up and grabs a grown man rebound then tries to throw a full court pass to Weatherspoon over two defenders that goes out of bounds. Really, really dumb unforced turnover when we needed that possession to try and get a bucket.

I bet boogie goes to one of the LA teams on a 1 or 2 year deal that will be in excess of what the Spurs can offer. Like others, he's just waiting out the Kawhi situation.

I think Boogies new agent is also themarcus's agent and supposedly has a meeting with the Spurs next week

They played much better in the 3rd qtr and got the lead down to 12. Lonnie looked really good though.

He just completely ****ed over Bron, Anthony Davis and the Lakers, so he isn't completely terrible.

I made the argument and got roasted for saying that joining a super team on the Lakers would be bad for his legacy, then Kawhi creates his own team on the Clippers so he can create his own legacy. Gutsy move, but a smart one, I believe.

Now he's the man there, he has a great two-way sidekick, a owner that will spend money, and in two years he ****ed over three of the better teams in the NBA. Made the lakers trade away their entire team to create space for him then they end up with Javale mcgee and Danny Green in that space. Toronto got their title, but can't replace him, so they traded away their best player for a one year rental for Kawhi, but have to rebuild now with no space. That's kind of incredible the way he was able to hamstring three of the best teams in the nba en route to creating his own team.

How about getting Westbrook on the team?

You could also say he tore down OKC as well by meeting with PG and telling him to ask to be traded. But the media will still portray the spurs front office, Westbrook and Toronto's location as the reason those teams splintered.

He did, but I never thought of them as that good or a contender. Lakers+Kawhi were easily the pick in the league. The Raptors just won the title. When Kawhi last really played for the Spurs, they were hanging with Golden State before Golden State imploded. Kawhi ****ed over all three of those teams.

I think OKC will actually be decent. Shai will probably grow into a good player, Danilo is great and a perfect fit at PF next to Adams and that Miami 2021 unprotected pick is destined to win the lottery.

The haul OKC got is amazing and if they can now flip Westbrook for a young player and picks then they set themselves up like the Celtics did. With Russ, OKC is a perennial 3-6 seed team who will always be on the doorstep.

I just don't know who would want him? Maybe Charlotte, who doesn't have a guy to give back. He's got all the talent in the world, but seems like the guy that isn't gong to ever take any team to the championship - at least not without Ibaka, Durant, and Harden.
