That's actually a great reply from Mitch. You send that quote and the video to the league and say you caused this by allowing it to get to this point.

Randle and Gobert being allowed to throw people has to be addressed by the league. Seeing that not being called is going to continue to lead to a lot of official questioning.

Wish we still had Bowen to karate kick someone

I bet if Plumlee threw Ant into the basket stand they'd address it.

Did y'all see Rudy laughing about the ejection? Said Minny's whole plan is to get Wemby riled up because he's a kid.

This series is war. Don't be a *****, Mitch and RC

Remember that the refs reviewed this and said there were no folks on either Wolves player

This was way dirtier than Wemby's situation.

Is the Spurs franchise going to respond or just file memos with the league and expect that dork Silver to do good?

Not a fan of either team. Wenby wound up and went for the head. As soon as it happened F2 and ejection was the right and only call.

Watching that entire sequence, the only foul you see is when Wemby threw the elbow? Is that correct?

I think the foul was a calculated gamble by Wemby/the Spurs. This was probably the last game in the playoffs that they could afford to lose him. He throws the elbow not only in frustration, but also to make a point. And, as if to prove the whole point in one play, they ignore at least two obvious fouls and give Wemby a F2. It's pretty much laughable at this point.

I don't think it was calculated. It was reactionary. Play before at the other end Shannon elbowed him right in the face. No call.

Then McDaniels elbows him the face while yanking on his arm, with Naz hitting him in the chest from the other side. Wemby said F this.

Well then it sounds like you are ok with all the T-wolves BS then?...I mean even when Shaq came into the league he was pretty unstoppable...but still got fouls called

I think it was reactionary in the moment, but I think Wemby was already given the green light to give a hard foul if he kept getting pushed around.

Reached a boiling over point when Naz hit him in the nuts and grabbed his leg on that rebound

I can see them talking about whenby having the green light for a hard fowl or a flagrant one, but I don't think that this was a premeditated thing. I think it was reactionary based on the videos and the photos above of what was happening to him in that moment.

Mitch is right that the refs aren't controlling the game and this is the type of thing that happens when the officials fail to do their job. Pretty much anytime we have fights or fouls like that from players that don't have a history of being dirty, it's because the officials have not been doing their job. They're not just calling balls and strikes. Part of their job is keeping order on the court and they haven't been doing that and they've been letting Minnesota play one way while only letting San Antonio play a completely different way

They also missed that Naz hit Wemby in the junk on that. I think that's actually what set him off now watching it again.

Yeah and I didn't catch that till this morning. I think you're right about that. Naz hit him in the junk, then held his leg down as he was jumping while slim was grabbing and holding him as well.

And yet no fouls on Minnesota.

The refs have to be held accountable as well

Still wish we would put in Plumlee and Olynk to use up some hard fouls on our end, especially on Gobert

Don't think that's going to buy us any sympathy from the league office if we put in the goon squad.

Probably want to play it straight up so that Victor doesn't get suspended for game 5. If Kelly goes in there and dislocates someone's shoulder, it only looks bad for us.

What is interesting is Jeremy would have been a useful rotation player against them because of their size and I think something would have happened with Jeremy long before this happened yesterday.

But it shouldn't take a crash out for the league to evaluate how they have messed up this series

Crazy conspiracy theory thinking…….the league isn't going to change a thing and will suspend Wemby a game in part for how he spoke up against the leagues concussion protocol.

The NBA has made the game unwatchable.

They have let the TWolves compensate for their lack of being able to play Wemby straight up by letting them beat him up and try to put him out of the series.

It's BS.

My concern is, if you think the Wolves were hunting Wemby before, you ain't seen nothing yet. Tuesday will be a physical mauling if the refs don't step up.

And I have no faith that they will step up.

It will be a real test for Wemby to see if he can stay focused on the game. He's one rogue elbow away from being suspended and effectively ending the Spurs season.

I will have zero issues if Wemby does that, because this is a bigger issue that the league needs to address.

Wemby and the franchise need to send a message to the NBA that if they want to have one of their premiere young talents on the court, they better call him fairly. Otherwise, he will do what he needs to do to protect himself. They called the Blazers series very similar, albeit to a lesser extent. It is zero surprise to me that this series has turned into what it has based on how the first round was called.

Now, I would have preferred the first ejection to be Mitch going off on the refs. Then if that didn't work, give Wemby the green light to do what he did whenever he felt necessary.

If they advance and have to play OKC with these kind of whistles, the internet might explode.

From an OKC fan... we played the Wolves in the WCF finals last year and what you've seen from them the last few games is exactly who they are. When it comes to the games that matter, bully-ball is their identity. It's not hustle or discipline. It's not tactical. It's just early 90s Pat Riley Knicks physicality. Or like if Ron Artest could put together a team based on his image.

I think there's a very clear differentiation between how OKC/SA play and how MIN plays. OKC/SA bring it every night... all 82+. OKC/SA have tactical POA defenders who can put high pressure on the ball while fouling at a relatively lower rate than most NBA players.

MIN ramps effort up and down depending on the competition and it shows when they run into a team that constantly plays at a higher standard of effort. They compensate with bully-ball because they can't match OKC/SA's effort and tactical superiority. They don't have any skilled POA defenders (outside of maybe Jayden, who's more good because of his size/athleticism than his skillset).

Their best hope is to drag the fight into the mud and hope they can bait Wemby into doing what he did last night. I hope Wemby does not get suspended and I hope SA takes care of the Wolves in 6. Let's get the rivalry started. I also want MIN to have to face the same existential questions this offseason about their spot in the western conference hierarchy going forward as HOU and DEN (best case, a distant third behind OKC/SA).
