NEW story on Pop becoming the Spurs’ secret weapon as El Jefe:

“It’s funny because you hear the stories about him being tough on guys and, obviously, he’s not my head coach, so I don’t kind of get that same experience,” Carter Bryant told @TheAthletic. “But I’m like, ‘What are… pic.twitter.com/1VP0NO7has
Jayden Quaintance looked explosive during @LIFTSPORTSMNGMT Pro Day in front of dozens of GMS/execs. Probably a more important Pro Day for JQ than anyone else, given discussion around his knee (which appears to be working fine). Makes the hoop look 9-feet. pic.twitter.com/QYIhJZa8lt

If Quaintance is healthy, that would put him higher on the board imo.

Even though teams are trying to keep Wemby out of the paint, he’s getting there even more in the playoffs and increasing his paint efficiency.

On defense, his shot contests are even better in the postseason. https://t.co/e4KzyyYzxQ pic.twitter.com/ZgSpykECuG

Yeah, he could be an absolute monster, but I don't think he is going to fit super well with Wemby because he can't shoot and will clog the paint. So that limits his usefulness going forward. But replacing Kornet in a year or two? Absolutely. Upside defensively is BAM.
But the offensive side holds me back. 38-84 from the FT line for his career (45%.) No shot at all outside the restricted area. Plus the major injuries.

I follow the draft stuff year round and the combine is happening right now.

The Athletic puts out a super detailed draft board that is a great read. Not out yet.
TheRinger is usually easy to consume, but less accurate. https://theringer.com/nba-draft/2026/big-board
I think Givoney and Woo at ESPN actually talk to a lot of front offices and probably have the best grasp on what teams are thinking and their board/mock usually reflects that.
I really like NoCeilings and some of the smaller brands.
Probably not worth the time: KOC/Yahoo.

Good times! I've become a huge NFL draft nerd over the past 15 years or so. It's a lot of fun and it's so fullfilling when your team wins on draft night.
I bet you lost your mind watching Wemby throughout the process and then watched SA win the lottery!
How did you feel about the Castle and Harper picks at the time? Were they your top targets going into draft night?

The teams in spots 14-18 all have 2 1st round picks this year, I think we could offer any of those teams Atlanta's unprotected 1st in 27 and they'd accept. I'd consider that fair value for us to add pick 15, take Morez and then take Karim at 20 as a longer term project.
There is some risk with ATL pick maybe ending up higher than 15 next year, but I think in the long run you don't care if you think that Morez is the guy you want.
Tarris Reed showed off his glue-guy qualities at the NBA Draft Combine, setting screens, ducking in with physicality, passing, going out of his area for rebounds with his 7'4 wingspan and switching onto guards, just like we saw at UConn the last two seasons. pic.twitter.com/IvpIQRiD9t

I also don't want to see us selling seconds for couch change money.
Spam a bunch of long fours and guys who can shoot and see if you can hit another lotto ticket.
Wemby has MORE BLOCKS than the Wolves have made FGs against him.

22 blocks this series.
Minnesota is shooting just 19/72 (26%) when Wemby is the primary defender! pic.twitter.com/2X4iQLNg3C
