This is the other issue with Fox's judgment on this play - you have to know the ref is going to swallow the whistle on any contact that isn't just absolutely blatant. It's always been that way.

Anyone else still wallowing? I haven't been willing to consume anything Spurs/NBA related since the end of game 4. One of the most disheartening sports losses in my memory, made all the more frustrating because you could see it coming so far in advance.

Feels like this team really needs to pull out game 5 so they don't add to the ignominy of that record-breaking loss by failing to respond at home. That kind of thing sticks with you.

I'm holding on hope to this all being part of the universes grand plan to inflict as much pain as possible on Knick fans. Let them have all these insane comebacks including going up 2-0 on the road, only for karma to strike against the most undeserving fan base in the nation and we win in 7 and they lose 3 straight close out games.

Not remotely. It sucked, but it didn't hit nearly as hard as Manu's AND1 foul or Kawhi bricking the FT then not boxing out Bosh.

We way exceeded even the most ridiculous expectations for the season and made it to the Finals with the youngest main core in NBA history. We knew going into the season that we were weak at PF, but we sadly drew the wrong team that could really exploit the hole in our roster. I think if we drew Boston or Cleveland or Detroit, we would have won the series in 5. Sucks we got the worst possible draw with a team that matches up better than anyone in the league against us, but those are the breaks. And without a single stupid player from each of our All Stars, we would be up 3-1 despite them being the more experienced team that poses significant matchup problems for us.

I'm excited about the game tonight, Tuesday and Friday.

I dont think i posted anything since the first half of game 4 but I gotta give a shout out to my dude Roland who's the PA guy for the Spurs. I got to work with Roland 10+ years ago and he's a 100% solid dude. Puro SA to the core. Has called high school games and done PA for stuff around San Antonio for decades, PA for the Iguanas back in the day, for the Missions forever and finally getting his shot a few years ago (pre Wemby) and he's been freaking killing it. Very proud of my bro, if this is the last game of the season, I'm glad he's gotten some shine on the biggest stage the NBA has.
