A few thoughts ...
The Cardinals were not a power hitting team this season. They also don't have much speed. They won 97 games because they hit .330 as a team with RISP... 60 points higher than their total batting average. You shouldn't be able to keep that up for 162 games. There's no way in hell. But they did, until the World Series.
I don't know what to think about Wacha. He labored in Game 2, but bulldogged his way to a win. I am wondering if the length of a full season in professional baseball is finally catching up with him. I also wonder about the lack of changeups in that last inning. However, I have an almost blind trust in Yadi and his pitch calling. I also haven't paid attention to see if Wacha has been shaking him off.
I was certain that Wainwright would win Game 5. Even if the Cards come back tonight, I don't see their offense winning a Game 7.
