Ok. Been a while since I posted. Here's some scatter shooting:

is actually supposed to have an accent over the "e." It is pronounced "key-KAY."
I have grown a prospect love for this kid because he is supposed to be as high of a character kid as you can have in the club house. He plays every position but pitcher and catcher. But, the biggest thing I enjoy is his development this season. He has really had some power develop this year, and he is only 22 years old. The ultimate development would be Martin Prado.
Next, I think Marwin Gonzalez season is for real, except for the power. He has 2 homeruns in 2 games, so that is making his production look a little high right now. Based on xBABIP calculations, he shouldn't see too much of a regression from this line. Remember, Marwin just recently turned 25. He still is quite young even though he's been with us for 3 years.
Jonathan Villar still has a very long way to go. All of the criticisms I have heard on Villar were on full display the last couple of weeks. Boneheaded play after boneheaded play. Laughing and carrying on in the dugout during a blowout rubbed me a little wrong also. This gif of Bo Porter shows his reaction to one of Villar's bone headed plays.

I think this will be a good experience for Domingo. He's getting a taste of legit pitching, he can now go back to AAA and all of those things he is working on will have renewed meaning for him. He is going to be fine. He could stay in AAA for 3 more seasons on top of this one and he would still be young for AAA.
Lastly, this team strikes out a lot. CRPerry13 over at the Crawfishboxes wrote an article about this on crawfishboxes. Thing is, Luhnow is not a fan of the high amount of Ks. If you look, most of the guys doing the K'ing were Ed Wade acquisitions. Luhnow tends to draft/acquire guys who sport excellent Walk to Strikeout ratios.
