There's really no reason to pay that much ($5-6m) for someone who is not going to produce. That money is better spent elsewhere

I'll say it. Dana had a bad year last year. Nothing he did worked.

The INF from Baltimore was a bust and he's now gone. He hardly played. But he didn't cost much. D

Sanchez was an F. He wasn't an F player coming in but he was an F here. A complete bust. It happens. I get it but it didn't change the grade. The only mitigating factor was he didn't cost anything. Basically Ryan Gusto.

The CC grade is harder. When Paredes went down for the season, Dana chose to swing for the fences with CC. But that obviously has created the IF logjam we have. You can't really isolate the player grade without talking about the bigger roster picture.

In hindsight, knowing how we finished, would it have been easier long term to get a temp lower cost and lower return solution for 3B last season so that the future wasn't so messed up?

Until I see what happens with Paredes or Walker to solve the mess, my grade for CC is INC.

I say trade everything that walks and go full 2011. Have a couple stellar drafts. Make this joke of a manager stay until we hit the 2014 mark in 2029, then stuff him in a trash can and put it at the curb so a real coach can come in and focus the young new generation for the 2015-2022 run in 2030-2037.

Yeah I don't get the Vasquez angle. Dude is washed.

Salazar is perfectly capable of catching once every time through the rotation and allocating that money elsewhere.
