I find it hard to believe they are trying to get him throwing new pitches when he has 0 control. He needs to go back to the minors and become a flame throwing reliever and work on whatever two pitches he can actually get over the plate.

Ullola not throwing strikes in the first week of ST doesn't concern me at all. Ullola won't be in the ML this year unless something catastrophic happens.

I thought the story on him was that he had tremendous stuff, but LMJ-esque control of it (or lack thereof). Hopefully he will get better control of it with time.

"Back to the minors"? Dude has literally never been in the majors and was just now added to the 40-man to protect against Rule 5. He won't be on the opening day roster.

That's my point. He's not monkeying around with a new pitch or anything like that when he's trying to prove he's a big league caliber player with the coaching staff. What he's been doing simply is who he is right now.
