It's also going to cost $30 for a cheeseburger, fries and coke.

Astros discussion starts at 16:00.

Chandler is so butthurt about Paredes not being traded. Give it a rest, there's plenty of opportunities to slot him into the lineup most of the time

Bet you it is more than that. It is probably $15+ outside the park. Park prices will be at least double.

Breaking news: ballpark food is more expensive than regular prices?

Going to be hilarious seeing them take 3 innings to serve a burger and fries.

Yep, but during that time you might get to see the manager beat the crap out of a drunk belligerent asshat with a trash can.

Well worth the wait.

Best and worst catchers at challenging so far this spring.

How quickly into the season does Yainer find himself on this list?

Shipments of HGH to the Yankees ST complex are about to skyrocket.

Same thing last year. They let him sit out about half the season, then he mashes for 2-3 months. Is he overpaid for that role? Sure. But they have a super reliable DH for Aug, Sept, and Oct.

Sounds like me after 2 rounds of disc golf on a Saturday. Albeit, I'm 52 years old.

Sounds like it but I think in reality it's probably just a case of not a good fit and he needed a change of scenery.

But again I think this points to the fact that integrating guys at the deadline who come into a new environment and are asked to do new things is not always as cut and dry as we as fans think.

Dana always wins the trade deadline...and then he loses it

I know we live in the information age where we can parse and dissect every little thing, but it feels like a real concern that Yordan was not ready to go physically as soon as spring training started given his myriad of problems last year.

I hope I look like an idiot 2 months from now when he's back in the MVP chase, but right now and throughout last year there was so much opaqueness to his health, it really makes you wonder what's going on.

Could be as simple as he is standing on the street corner outside the Havana airport with a cardboard sign saying "Will Work for Jet Fuel".

Or the same as any veteran player in that they don't typically get run out there immediately at the onset of ST.

Yep - this is not uncommon. They all have their own preferences and ways of ramping up.

Some guys want to jump in and play right away. Others like to ease in more.

Chandler's comment is him saying "well duh the new team is saying they're going to fix the guy who didn't do well at the previous location."

He's throwing shade at those, I'm guessing in his comments and on X, who are saying see, the Astros hitting coaches sucked because the Blue Jays coaches essentially are saying they sucked.

I'm not commenting on the former hitting coaches one way or another, just commenting on Chandler's response.

The earliest ST game Yordan has played in took place 2/23/2019. For a couple of seasons, he didn't start until March. Even last year, his first game was 2/27. I believe Tags said he'd get into a game next week.

Yeah, I think Chandler's post is directed at those who are acting like it's a novel concept to try something new with a guy who just sucked. When a team trades for a guy who struggled, what do you expect them to say? "This guy sucked at the end of last season, but we decided to take a chance that he won't suck this year."

If there's any truth to that info, then Sanchez is a weak-minded individual who isn't cut out to be a major contributor. I think it's a bunch of nonsense, though. Guys slump. It's part of the game. Sanchez will perform better than he did in Houston, but it's not because the Blue Jays hitting coaches helped Sanchez understand that sucking is not good and that he should try something different.

Has the makings of a disaster. Gets pulled early or misses a start for "precautionary" reasons and costs him basically $1M each time.
