I really like this signing at that price. If he's healthy, he gives the rotation a ton of flexibility and a lot more depth. Chris Young has said many times you need ten starting pitchers. This signing is a huge step towards getting there.

Great bat, but horrible defensively. Maybe platoon with Pederson for DH? I'm not sure he would go for that, though.

I think Joc will have a comeback year. I just don't see how he can be as bad as last season with the career he's had and with this being a year he really needs to produce if he wants a decent contract in the future.
