I wonder who will be next. It would also seem to give Bryson leverage for a bigger deal if they want him to stay.

great news for him. I've always enjoyed his game and he's a stand up dude. Always nice to have more local guys to pull for on tour.

Eh...I've heard second hand from a family member who had an encounter with him and his wife that is evidence to the contrary.
And given he'd been one of the most disliked players on tour, been caught cheating multiple times (college and pro), and is estranged from his family I'd say there's enough there to question this assessment.
Oh yeah...He was also caught stealing form his college teammates as well. So yeah...I'm not sure stand up dude applies to Patrick Reed.

Have to wonder what the tour is thinking about with Brooks, P Reed and the potential return of Bryson next year. LIV is going international, which, good luck. However, all this talk of not wanting to compete with football, more signature events, smaller fields, etc., you have a lot of bigger names that might be left on the outside.
Seems as though a framework for the '27 season was about to be released. Do they reconsider now that the landscape is changing quickly you might need more opportunities for the bigger names to play, even if they aren't top 60 or whatever?

This is great for the Tour. Rolapp is doing incredible work already. Monahan would have spent months setting a committee of the mules to get opinions from a million people who don't matter.
His focus is clearly on the marketability of the Tour and creating a better product for the fans. Nothing else matters.
Fewer events, fewer guaranteed cards, stronger fields. Hell yes

Need to be at least mildly interesting to be a villain, so no

Rahm has to stick around to keep his $$$ since he was later to jump over, but the dude is a competitor so this has to start to eat at him.

I don't know why, but I like villains on tour. Guys who cut against the grain. Reed fits this bill for me. Guys with actual personality. And guys who piss off Rory.
Rahm also prolly go twice the amount or more of brooks and Reed type paychecks. He will surviveDannyDuberstein said:

We just need more players on tour who make you feel something. Good or bad.
No one feels anything about Eric Cole or Lanto Griffin

Glad he's headed back. The Tour needs a bad guy although Wyndham has been trying to step up for that role
