course is getting faster as the day goes on; lots
of short putts being missed. Tomorrow and Sunday could be brutal for scoring. My only hope that the field can close this gap is that Clark puts up a crooked number somewhere along the way. Clark got a big break yesterday with the fog delay, but credit to him for cashing the opportunity in so far.

You couldn't give me a membership at Shinnecock and play this all the time. It's really not captivating to watch for me. The course is ugly and manufactured to be ridiculously hard.
