He eventually paid for repairs to what he damaged about 6 months later, with some controversy that he wasn't paying because it took so long. That said, I think it was more the fact that it probably takes some time to get a craftsman to repair historic 100+ year old lockers that are a promoted feature of your clubhouse. The lockerroom is basically a museum that he went ape**** in. (Post below is from before last year's tournament)

What don't you like about it? This has become such a common complaint. I'll admit I don't fully understand it. We see more shots/players than ever before and with better tech.

I think Azinger is as dull as can be but the commentators don't affect the broadcast much for me.

It's been nothing but commercials and commentator interviews. Zero golf, even the wife and 9yo son complaining

I read an article this morning about how the USGA knows certain courses will have tiny galleries because they are hard to get to, but it is worth it to them because the courses are so good.

They kind of alternate between those and places like Oakmont and Pebble Beach where they make millions more on huge galleries.

God I can't remember the last time I heard a player in the final pairing of a major get heckled like this. Brutal. Not rooting for Wyndham, but all the "get in the bunker" screams are too much.

* edit - Nvm, the brits were not very nice to Brian Harman at Hoylake. But my point still stands.
