Tennessee is actually shooting a a similar percentage but big difference between shooting 11 threes and 34 of them lol

Yes, in college basketball you very much do get credit for playing those games.
Losing to UH by one possession is better for your metrics/resume than beating a 300+ team by 20.
I understand how metrics work… it was more tongue in cheek.

Pains me to root for Bama basketball, but man it would be nice to have a 2 game lead in conference going into our February schedule.

Purdue 27 MD 12 with ~ 7 mins left in the 1st half. And, the game is at Maryland. Very sad season for Terp basketball fans.
Not gonna lie I half expected Maryland to win this game coming off their bye date and go on a bit of a heater to close the season like we did in Buzz's first season.
You're far more a student of the game than I am and can see how you might believe that with Buzz's record here. But, this seems to be a "special" season at MD for all the wrong reasons!
Maryland's last half of games isn't as hard as their first half. Looking at who they play they could win 6 or so which would give them some hope for next year seeing how it has been a disaster thus far.
But man, in a lot of the games they don't look competitive at all. They aren't even close.

Yeah I mean they suck, but we were even worse than they are Buzz's first year up to this point but it finally clicked a bit and we closed pretty well.
I don't think they're just going to suddenly become good, but wouldn't be surprised if they clip a few teams.

Ive watched a few stretches of non-Payne games and they just get obliterated on the boards by anyone good. Saunders is basically playing center for them and he's awful awful and small to boot25Lighters said:

How did you read into that comment that way? He said "when are we going to say they aren't just a good story, they're a good team?"

Agree and I much rather them trying to figure it out vs an odd matchup that we present instead of the confidence of coming off a road win vs Florida.
So, we are going to be ranked ahead of bama?
You gotta believe they are going to be doubting themselves if this lead holds.
I can't tell if Florida is absolutely insane at defense or if Bama is just screwing up so bad that it makes it seem that way.
