I blame this loss on Will Johnson for the two almost homer calls

Hopefully this will be the kick in the ass we need. We've looked lethargic all season so far.
Really? We've got how many HRs and grand slams already this season?
We're playing cream puffs and have only scored more than 6 twice in a game at home. It's supposed to be the best offense in baseball.
And this is the first game that weather hasn't been a factor. We're going to be fine.
As mentioned above already:Cen-Tex said:

I wish people would stop acting like they don't see the problems on this team that need to be fixed. No one is jumping off a cliff, but it's very fair to say this team has a lot of work to do
2022 I left the midweek game against UH and told my brother "we might not make a regional" because we were playing that badly … then we figured it out and made the CWS semis.
You really need about 15 games to know which teams are legit or not.
GG had his sketchy moments last year, yes. Today was awful but it's a blip. I'm not worried. He's going to play ok defense and hit really well. I think he needs to sit to get healthy, not because of today. Binderup has been a D+ at best so far defensively. Our pitchers have not fielded well, Bindys hasn't saved the saveable throws from our other IF. Jace got turned around on a ball... Kash too. It has not felt locked in on defense that's for sure.94chem said:WhoopN06 said:
Defense is going to be an issue.
Is it? Was GG bad last season? How about Kent? Worried about Kiel? Does Jace know how to play? Elaborate, please.

this is strange
the problem with the lineup is 4-5-6
they are being outplayed and outhit by 7-8-9

Earley has his work cut out for him
and at the 4, 5, 6, spots in the lineup
add some other guys to the mix

Early getting cute with the pitchers cost us that game. He'll learn. But, that sucked!
****ty fielding and 20 popups cost us that game.
I will continue to cheer it. **** LSUWestTexAg12 said:LRB38 said:
Today wasn't pretty. There are definitely areas that need to be addressed, but a lot of season left. Let's keep in mind LSU dropped a game to Omaha last night as well. It's college baseball. These things happen.
And we were cheering it on this site. Karma is a ***** sometimes.

That team wasn't even mediocre during non-conference. I was amazed when they took 2 of 3 from Santa Clara. That was kind if the turning point.
And we're all gonna be laughing at youfightintxaggie10 said:Bookmarking this. Well revisit at the end of the season.annie88 said:fightintxaggie10 said:

Nobody is ignoring a damn thing. We're two weekends into the season. Just because the college baseball press anointed the Ags as the preseason #1 does not mean there will not be bumps in the road especially when navigating a coaching change on top replacing key players from last season.HoustonAg2106 said:

Their catcher is a stud better than any we have on our roster.
Had the same thought. I was wondering if we made a mistake moving on from RC. Then our offense came around in conference play but we still had one of the worst pitching staffs since some point in the MJ days.tjack16 said:HoustonAg2106 said:

Really, cause none of that gave up 3 runs with a 2 run lead by a freshman after a previous pitcher had shut them down on very few pitches. But, you do you.
Edit so, one run was due to an error.

1,2,3 not exactly knocking the cover off the ball.
3 runs should never be enough to beat this team. Especially against a team like CP. so yeah the 20 pop ups were definitely the biggest reason we dropped this game.Fquin said:Sean98 said:WRONG.Fquin said:

Rudis is still recovering from a shoulder injury. Last week he was on a hard pitch count. I wouldn't be surprised if he still is.Quote:
Last question why pull Rudis? Then bring a kid who threw 1-2/3 yesterday. Fresh corn now 1-1-1 for the year. I like his arm talent but he was tired today.
