I'm normally pretty against only giving a coach 1 year, but this was a unique situation from the get go. I actually don't mind giving Earley the chance when he was going to be able to keep the roster together, but with injuries this never really got going and it exposed Earley. He's just not ready. Maybe one day he'll get there.

This sucks extra hard, because I really like a lot of the guys on the team. They're all pretty good dudes that represent A&M well. College kids just can't do it without great coaching.

It shows we do not accept the current situation and are being proactive. First job on the market. Why delay the inevitable. Every second Earley is allowed to remain weakens the entire baseball program.

If there is cancer you deal with it swiftly.
