Played golf today because I figured we'd run rule them again since last time was 25-5. I was shocked to see the box score. Glad we won.

No run rules in the postseason.

Yah, I learned that in the Alabama vs. Alabama State game last night.

Sure. Some people are whining just to whine.

However. You cant deny that it's hugely concerning that we had to burn 3 of our "best" arms including our only truly reliable guy to finish off a team we beat 25-5 in the regular season. If we had any pitching depth at all, it may not be a big deal. However, the guy we are hoping can start tomorrow has arm issues and hasn't thrown in 3 weeks. Yeah. Glad to have won - but there are legit concerns as to what it took to do it and what we have left going forward.

Only "best" arm that got burned was Lyons. Freshcorn was sub-20 pitches so he can go tomorrow if necessary. There is really nothing concerning about it - the biggest hole in this team all year has been pitching. People can either recognize that reality or continue to get frustrated when pitchers give up runs. Early rolled the dice with Sdao and the team managed to scratch out the win, which sets up better for tomorrow with Sims starting. Make it through tomorrow with a win and you roll with Moss and everyone you have to win the Regional in 3 games.

Also, I believe Lyons pitched 50 ish pitches on a Friday not long ago and threw 50 ish pitches on Sunday, if my bad memory serves me correctly.
Hustle, hit, never quit!

Yep, and that probably factored in the decision to roll with Sdao. Obviously, spotting Lamar a five run lead isn't what you plan but the big picture is to get the win, which the team did with a gritty comeback. With Texas State winning, things are lined up nicely for A&M.

Haven't checked but wondering if USC rolls with their #1 this afternoon or pitches off again thinking they can take Lamar without burning their best pitcher.
People think I'm an idiot or something, because all I do is cut lawns for a living.
