Georgia defeated Mississippi State 11-9 in game 2 to sweep the Athens Super Regional 2-0 and advance to the College World Series for the first time since 2008. As a result, Georgia swept their 6 games against Mississippi State: all 3 regular season games at Starkville, the SEC Tournament Semifinal game, and 2 games of the Athens Super Regional.

UNC's ballpark is exactly what I'd expect from that school. Beautifully manicured field, big trees in the outfield view, and great landscaping, painted argyles on the grass, brick buildings in the background, everyone wearing blue and white, etc.

WVU's ballpark is exactly what I'd expect from that school......Weird angles, the majority of tarps off, and a Star Furniture in the background that you can see over left center field wall.

If SC pulls this off… of course we are a team that ends up with an Omaha 2 seed in our regional. Add that to the fact that we got underseeded as a 12, it really feels like we got a bad deal for our postseason draw

We could have done something about that. Something like, I dunno, beating them. There's no woe is me when you host a regional and get *****ed twice in a row in uncompetitive fashion

Ole Miss and OU are also Omaha 2 seeds (assuming OU finishes off Kansas and USC does likewise to UNC) and they had to vanquish even higher seeded foes on the path to Omaha than USC has. Omaha 2 (and even a 3) seeds look to be as plentiful their host brethren this year.

I'm not sure if that should be read as a sign of their undeniable puissance or just that it's baseball and **** happens.
