Fully vaccinated in February and live in Fort Worth. Used to wear a mask anywhere that required/had a sign. After CDC changed guidelines for vaxed folks, I'm not sure I have put one on.
Our Kroger still has the sign stating everyone must wear a mask to enter. Meanwhile, there were Kroger employees not wearing one. I think most signs are either still up b/c they are waiting for either waiting to develop their new policy or get a new policy from corporate. Or just haven't gotten around to taking the signs down. I have yet to be in a store since the CDC dropped masking where I was asked to put one on. I have totally stopped bringing them with me.speck said:I don't get it. So they ask you to wear it, you're at their place, and you're like, "nah." They make one request at the outset, and you're like, "nope."SouthTex99 said:
Most everywhere else is back to normal but not grocery stores. The HEB's in the Rio Grande Valley are still posting signs asking for people to wear masks. And 95%+ comply with it. I generally go without but the ones that do get looked at like they are the Wuhan carrier monkey.
I am suspicious that is only happening here in the liberal RGV. What is everyone is seeing around the state?
They offer curbside or delivery if you're that mask-averse.
Frisco Kroger on Custer near McKinney. Custer and Eldorado. I did not see the standing sign. I will look for that next time.Ken Adams said:
I think you and I both live in the same general area. I've been to two Kroger stores in the last few days. Both still had the normal signs on the sliding doors as you enter that it's required. Then there was another standing sign by the carts that said masks required but there was a small red sign attached saying fully vaccinated no longer had to wear them. I even heard the overhead speakers say the same thing to "please a wear mask, but if you are fully vaccinated then it's no longer required but encouraged." Seems these places are keeping the announcements subtle as possible.
Kroger on Buffalo Speedway @ Westpark had the red sign by the front door yesterday. Shopped without a mask. Still majority had masks (even a double masker was spotted!).Ken Adams said:

At Houston Bunker Hill HEB on Monday I saw almost 100% of customers and employees in masks.

It's an illness, and it's not Covid.
If you're vaccinated you're not protecting anyone. You're anti science.Ranger222 said:Ol_Ag_02 said:Fan said:

Oh no! People wanting to be a decent human being and protect their neighbor! Horrible illness!

A year from now when people are still wearing masks (because they want to) some here are really going to take it poorly!

People are such compliant sheep. I haven't worn one even in stores that say they are required. Had a few of those places offer me a mask and I politely declined and they just nodded. Be a leader and let people know it's okay to drop the masks.

Until we can get people to believe that going maskless doesn't automatically mean you're far-right, masks will remain. People are crazy.
