HEB in Austin (Mueller, as well as Hancock Shopping Center) have put up signs indicating that masks are optional for those whom are fully vaccinated. Around 20% of shoppers without masks. Half of HEB employees with masks. Most vendors wore masks.

La Vernia HEB had the same sign; most inside sported no mask. I did see someone at the Randolph commissary wearing not only a mask but also one of those arched plastic shields attached around the head. She was an elderly lady so if it makes her feel more secure then more power to her.

Last Sunday at Central Market in Dallas they still had the "masks required" sign but about a third of the customers weren't wearing one. Sounds like corporate is getting the message by people ignoring their sign, just like we all knew it would happen.

I'm sure none of my cousins in La Vernia are wearing a mask....they might not have ever worn them

Can confirm. I'm up the road in a smaller area and haven't seen hard mask compliance since August 2020.

ie people that have had covid. Was kind of surprised by that as that hasn't really been added as an exemption at other places.

The only place I had to wear a mask out and about this week was the Travis County Tax Office to pick up my Aggie plates.

I was at Collin county courthouse building all day earlier in the week. Maybe 5-10 workers wearing one. 50/50 on every one else. Not even the judge or lawyers wearing them during the jury selection stuff for 8 hours. Signs everywhere strongly suggesting to wear it though. No one cared.

Living back in B/CS for the summer and apart from flying, I never need a mask now (fully vaccinated). At first, it seemed about 50/50 to me, but lately the mask-wearers stick out more, meaning that fewer of them exist. I just always assume either they are not vaccinated or maybe they live with someone at risk and don't want to take a chance. I respect anyone's decision but am so glad for seeing smiles again. Today, however, was the first day I saw the H-E-B sign that said masks were optional. Once Kroger and Walmart made them optional, the H-E-B cart person with the masks seemed to go away from the stores where I frequent, but the sign didn't change. Just an hour ago I saw the changed sign.

Still about 85-90% in Sugar Land/Missouri City stores. I bet it takes a year for mask wearers to be the minority here. Still see them quite a bit on people exercising or walking through outdoor areas.

Weird. The HEB in Parker county is about completely mask free. It's actually starting to be weird to see people in masks now.

Counting Indians and Asians in the are people still wearing masks, tally, is asking for disappointment.

11th street Kroger in Houston. Maybe 25% mask usage this afternoon.

Not a market but the Pearl in SA was absolutely crammed today and other the some vendors and a few customers, it looked and sounded delightfully normal! (Including the high heat index)

Had my hcad hearing yesterday. No masks required.

I have not worn a mask to Randall's or HEB since maybe June or July 2020, and I see many folks in the Leander/Cedar Park stores not wearing them as well.

Oh I feel you about the claustrophobia part!

La Vernia HEB - not one single mask worn by a customer or employee.

Lubbock - the United grocery stores are apparently not requiring masks for employees. Like customers, some are masked, some aren't. I don't know if it's a "got the vaccine" thing or not. Other stores and restaurants are the same.

The only places that still REQUIRE masks are elder care and some national chains like Ulta, but I think even they are lessening their restrictions.

I am in doctors offices every day and many still require masks but more and more every week are now saying no masks necessary if vaccinated.

My wife is a pharma rep and has the same experience, no mask if you're vaccinated.

And ditto about the docs. We ran into a friend in the grocery store the other day. He's a family practice doc, and he was wearing his mask.

Yes, because that is double-dipping. Indians are Asian.

I asked my friend who is a doctor why still the mask indoors. He said he is worried about D+ (Plus?). I had to look it up. I thought is was just D we were watching for.

Only place in the Colleyville area requiring masks are the doctors office and for some reason vets offices. My dentist has been make free for over a month. I asked about the vet. I have an Aggie vet who is wonderful. The office staff said because his daughter is immunodeficient due to being treated for brain cancer. I can understand that but she states on her FB that she and the entire family is vaccinated.

Here in NY still must wear a mask at all times when at the doctors office

I don't wear one anywhere else, and I notice less and less people wearing one each day when I'm out at the stores and restaurants, including workers
