Here in NY still must wear a mask at all times when at the doctors office

I don't wear one anywhere else, and I notice less and less people wearing one each day when I'm out at the stores and restaurants, including workers

Having lived in NY entirely too long, I can only imagine how draconian it's been in cuomoland

Ugh

the worst

He was basically forced by the federal government to remove the mask mandates for the vaccinated in stores, restaurants etc

Now he's saying percentage of vaccinated must reach a certain level before schools and other places where mask mandates still exist can be lifted

Even for a NY politician, Cuomo is a special kind of ahole. Self absorbed, self interested, compromised as can be. My move to TX was well timed and everything feels (finally) normal. I don't even keep a mask in the car any more. I shoved that gaiter in some drawer.

You hit the nail on the head with Cuomo

He's easily the most hated man in NY these days

Is he up for re-election? Because if he is, that state will sadly re-elect him

Yep, they may hate him but the big population is NYC and they vote D by reflex.

West U. Whole Foods still easily over 50 percent masks today. They're like the Alamo of maskers. Saw two moms with children under 7 in masks. Child abuse.

That's crazy. Not even the Whole Foods at the Arboretum in Austin is that bad

Vacationing in the northeast. Happy to report that very few masks spotted anywhere in New Hampshire. Ate dinner in Rhode Island last night, no masks in the restaurant. In Salem today, only a few spotted - not mandatory even in the visitor's center run by the National Park Service. (It says masks not needed for vaccinated but of course no one is asking).

The only time so far that they were required was during a van ride to kayak.

Saw a baby with a mask on at the airport this morning.
Kid doesn't have a chance to be normal.

Been a little over three weeks since we dropped mandates in CA. Here in San Diego, we're about 10% masked in grocery stores. <1% masked at sold out Padres games. Far different than other parts of the state.
