I hate weir and shanni. Both VERY self centered. Shanni is nothing short of a spoiled brat. Watching these guys 'represent' the USA makes me sick.

Weir is apparently facinated by all things Russian. Not as bad as the Japanese pairs skater who defected to have a better chance with a partner skating for Russia.

Anyone else notice how much better our national anthem sounds at these Olympics as opposed to Beijing?
The anthem in China sounded weak or toned down (not to mention they messed it up one time).

Excellent day for the USA!

I am very happy for Davis, and don't see an issue with him pulling out before the second run the other night. Frankly that abortion that I witnessed in the Oval with the ice issues was an absolute embarrassment, and I felt for all of the athletes who had to wait over an hour for them to figure it out. The move obviously paid off for Davis with his gold tonight!

Cheap, eco-friendly knock-off zambonies broke down, and the Canadian mechanics didn't have a clue as to how to fix it.

First the torch door doesn't open, then the zambonies break. Earth to Canada, isn't there a real mechanic in the whole country?

Yeah, NBC showed some limited coverage, but had to move to other sports because of the delay... one of the Zambonis was leaving ice & slush all over the ice, and the other had some other issues... the surface was all bumpy and some of the coaches came over and pretty much said, "My athletes are not skating on that". Apparently it took over an hour to figure it out and they were thinking of airlifting a Zamboni from Calgary, or some such nonsense. I can't quite recall. Even Dan Jansen called it an embarrassment!

Shawn White is probably not human. I have no clue what is good or not in snowboarding but his stuff was just awesome. And the pseudo-jeans that the snowboarders wear amuse me.

I know Canada had a major push to "win the medals" in their home games... they might want to turn it on quickly because USA is destroying everyone right now!

Man, our curling teams absoutely suck. I think we are 0-6 now so far, mens and womens.

US just dominated the first period of the USA- Norway hockey game.

Vonn, what happened? Was about to lock up 1st or 2nd in the Super G towards the end of the slalom, but DNF. Did she fall?

Yeah, she fell. She was a few hundredths ahead at the first checkpoint, and then about 2 tenths behind at the checkpoint right before she fell

Really sucks for Vonn... at least she seems to be ok physically. I just dread the dumb media vultures and their idea that this is failure. I am sure she is disappointed, but she has a gold medal and three more events. She's not done yet.

The same guy keeps failing for the men's curling team, he's got to feel horrible. Team keep setting up for the win, and he can't make the final throw.

The women's curling team went from up 2 with the chance to go up 4 in the 6th end to down 2 in the 7th. Nice.

Glad we got 2 medals in the women's halfpipe, but all the ladies need some work before the next Olympics IMO. So many mistakes. Seems like more than half the ladies crashed. Wasn't very exciting. The only runs that were exciting were those of the top 3. Everybody else wiped out or did a mediocre run.
