USA takes on Canada for the gold in Women's Hockey on Thursday at 5:30 CT. Should be a good one.

The men are set to take on Switzerland tomorrow at 2:00 in the Quarterfinals. Switzerland beat Belarus 3-2 earlier today.

Ok, here is what happened: The Vancouver Olympic group put out bids for the ice surfacing machines. A company called Olympia, or something like that, won the bid with a machine that uses half the energy. It is also a Canadian company. It failed. However, they could not use an American Zamboni because Zamboni didn't win the bid. So they had to drive the Canadian machine around, followed by a Zamboni with all the badging removed.

In an unrelated noted, the Nordic Combined last night was pretty exciting. I look forward to caring again in four years.

I think that it's safe to say that Olympia is in trouble as a company after this. If it becomes public that they wouldn't let a Zamboni go for marketing rights, that can only hurt their brand more.

Grew up in the same town as Lysechek! Mmmmm Nastia.

Did anyone watch Vonn on Colbert last night? That was hilarious. She couldn't keep a straight face with him.

Also, we found out that Bob Costas has been spending too much time with Johnny Weir, as he announced that he, too, hates America.

2-0 Final. US over Switzerland in Men's Hockey. US advances to semi-finals vs. Finland/Czech Republic winner.

Tough to believe that Russia or Canada will be eliminated tonight.

Womens short track relay gains bronze after finishing over 1/2 lap behind the other three competitors. South Korea was disqualified after giving a slight bump to China.

Lots of the good feelings about our Alpine skiing team dissipated today.

Apparently Mancuso and Vonn aren't the best of friends. I thought they acted strangely in the interview together after that first medal ceremony. I guess Mancuso resents some of the attention Vonn gets.

What happened between them to trigger this realization?

UGHHH. Just tuned into the game and Canada gets a goal. Up 1-0 in the 1st.

Our nordic combined team was an excellent surprise.

4 total medals for the U.S.

1st and 2nd today on the big hill.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed some "angst" between Vonn and Mancuso over the past few days... but then again, it could be media manufactured. It seems like the attention that the media drums up for Vonn could be taking its toll on the rest of the US team. On one hand, Vonn has been dominant in the sport and came into the Olympics as quite a favorite, so its not like they were just fixating on her for the hell of it. On the other hand, the media does tend to get their handful of talking points and just overexpose them into the ground. That overexposure could affect the whole team... even though it shouldn't. Kind of a shame if they get into some sort of *****ing match after the great games they have both had.

And a HUGE thumbs up for USA Nordic combined. Talk about showing up ready to play ball, these guys are awesome.

The Canadian figure skater that lost her mom killed me... glad that she medaled. Too bad this Olympics for her will always be the time that her mom died.

Really looking forward to all the short track finals tomorrow night.

The Olympics.

The attention Vonn is getting got to Mancuso. She was quote as saying that she gets frustrated when the team regarded it as a bad day just because Vonn didn't have a good day.

I don't think it's manufactured.

There was noticeable iciness on the podium that first time. If all this hadn't come out since then, I'd have forgotten about it. But with all this out, it really stands out the way they acted towards each other.

And you can't forget that, although this is sports, they're still women.

Canadian women win the hockey gold and then commit an Olympic "party foul."

i know you meant it as a joke, but there's really a lot of truth in that statement.

The IOC should be happy that they boozed it up and had some cigars on the ice. The alternative of having them booze it up in VC bars flashing their medals while trying to pick up guys would REALLY be bad.

Vonn DNFs again. Another disappointing result to a very up and down Olympics.

USA leads Finland 6-0 in the 1st period.

It was 4-0 halfway through the period, and Kiprusoff took himself out at that point.

Our figure skater last night was good. I expect we'll see her in a few years competing for a medal.

Watching team pursuit speedskating. Very cool. 3 skaters work together as a team. Last skater to cross the line stops the clock for the team.

USA men and women both took out the gold medal favorites.

The women topped to Canadian favorites and the men just beat the Dutch favorites.

Men are guaranteed a medal, having already reached the final vs. Canada.

Women will face a strong German team in the semis.

One hell of a finish to the women's curling tournament...

Sweden steals a point in the extra 11th end to knock of the Canadians.
