I would have loved Ekpone to have a better lane than 2 for the 200 finals tomorrow. We will see how she handles lane 2. She is a class athlete.
All the Aggie women scorers would be back next year except for Bellile (400mH). She is the only senior scorer this year. Women team should be pretty strong next year with a big senior class.

Relay success will be crucial (as always) tomorrow. Ags have so many points on the line in the 4x100 and 4x400.

So I'm definitely not a track and field expert... Can we still win both male and female titles?
The men are out-not enough potential scorers. The women are the favorites now.
I'll post my full predictions for the men and women once I can update my spreadsheet with todays results.
I have the TAMU ladies projected at 71 instead of 74. They started with 66 on the Formchart and gained 2 pts in the TJ by finishing 2nd (8 pts) instead of 3rd (6 pts). They also gained 3 pts in the 400 M Hurdles by finishing 1st (10 pts) and 3rd (6 pts) instead of 2nd (8 pts) and 4th (5 pts). Is there something I'm missing that get's us to 74?

Henry has some choice that cause a slight dropoff in the 4x100
Could run Brown in place of Ekpone/Brown and could likely still win. Could potentially even run Collier if she travelled and be in the running for the top spot.

Would be good if Ekpone could anchor both relays, but she has the 200M in between them so that is a concern. That would be three races within 2 hours. I know she did this at the SEC championships, but I don't recall if the 200M was run on the same day as the relays.
The timing is a little shorter but its the same order as the SEC championships.
I think the three races will be about 30-45 closer together than the SEC championships.
I think Henry lets her and Brown tell him whether they can go. They are juniors and know their bodies better than anybody. If they say they can go, you let them do it.

Saturday is definitely a big day for us and while the women's team is on track for a title the men's team really needs to score a lot of points today.
Isnt the meet televised? Most of the "sports" channels are carrying the World Cup, but I really dont want to watch Japan play, 'ya know?

Yes, the meet is televised on ESPNU at 4:00 pm (central). It is a good watch, despite having to hear the commentators gush over the Oregon Ducks during much of the telecast.

They typically gush over any school but ours, despite our success over the years. It's nauseating. But sweet when we win the titles.
The ESPN commentators must have a clause in their contract that every time they mention Hayward Field they must put the word "historic" before it.

The way I see it the 4X 100 is extremely important for the women. As long as they win that and there's nothing crazy like the Texas girl winning high jump they will be in really good shape. If the girls have issues in the 4 x 100 and Texas or Florida jump in front of them, then that could be a huge swing in points.
