Stearns was a top 5(probably 2) player in the country at the time and any team that wants to win a championship has to have an elite player at line 1 in order to do so. I don't know if texas has that anymore without joint

Texas will be very very deep though. Look how big of a step Lulu is taking after one year. I have a feeling they will hit their stride late in the season.

Agree. We are the better team but not hard to see them taking doubles + 5 and 6 singles. Puts a lot of pressure on our top 4.

Going pro was definitely the best thing for her and I am glad she did not end up at any of our competition. Gosh, imagine her at Georgia !!

I agree - FINALLY! Will be nice to have video and live updates again. Updates on both 12thman.com and StatBroadcast.

More football weather than tennis but I am sure the girls are used to playing in all kinds of weather.

I'm hoping to make as many matches this year as possible. We will be good for years to come but Mary isn't replaceable. Feels a little like The Last Dance.

Yes, I definitely feel that way as well. Especially with UF and Auburn stepping up their game, elite recruiting is worrying me a bit. Next year will still be top 10 worthy(pending transfers or commits we don't know).

CORNDOG HAS ENTERED THE CONVERSATION.

They just signed Kayla Cross (UTR 11.14) and signed Tilwith Di Girolami (UTR 10.64) yesterday. These are in addition to Cadence Brace (UTR 11.02) in the fall.

THEY'RE GOING AFTER OUR CANADIAN PIPELINE!!!!

Mary beat WTA 324 Eva Vedder yesterday in the W35 Palm Coast, FL. That's on clay, y'all!

Carson plays this morning in the same tournament.

Anyway - great to see these good results. I wish Mary would get back home to A&M, but I also know this is her career and wish her the best while she's away.

Is it sad that I still couldn't bring myself to pull for Stearns when she played Navarro (what a match) - just bc she played for tu. LOL

they just entered their name for sure. they retained some key pieces of theirs plus these big additions. I'm curious how, it can't be NIL because international (even canadians) can't receive NIL unless they have a full on working visa which no student athlete really has.

She is getting money. I guarantee it. No other reason she would come back to college.

Same with Hovde. I know she is an American, but still.

that's not even all. there's more space that's not pictured. they did a great job renovating them and the entire downstairs building space. the girls and men got more room than their old locker rooms

Also noticeable is the uptick in younger elite tennis players that would skip college and go straight to the pros, with our pedigree and results, we need to (and should) land our share of them!!! With more and more joining the ncaa ranks, it'll push others to do so as well!
