Of course it is child molestation if the child hasn't gone through puberty and the molester has...this is basic common sense.
As the older brother he should have protected his sisters, instead he abused his position as both and older sibling and male in the house which those girls no doubt understand early means he has more "authority" and "power" than they do.
Those girls will be affected for the rest of their lives and no one is talking about getting them the help they need. Most of this thread is completely nauseating.

Faith doesn't seem to prevent them from molesting kids. Their church tells them they have to confess sin and they do...but everything is handled in-house, police aren't contacted, and victims are told they are sinning if they don't forgive the offender.
Women in that church are subjugated by design. There's a reason Josh's wife still refuses to divorce him. She's been told repeatedly her entire life that divorce is an abomination and she is to be led by the man even if he gets sentenced to 11 years for possessing horrific videos of children. She believes it's her godly duty to be the good little subjective wife and she would be shunned from her church community if she ever left him.
You also have a situation where the parents, even if the dad wasn't a complete POS which he is, they don't have time to actually spend time with their own kids. The kids are raising the other kids.

There's an independent journalist who is following the case. She developed some friendships with people close to the Duggar family.
Joe married the daughter of the pastor who led the church they attended. The alleged victim is his sister-in-law. His wife Kendra has been charged with child endangerment and false imprisonment. What likely happened was Joe's confession automatically triggered a CPS review of the family home and they probably found some bedroom doors which locked from the outside. That's very typical of what the Duggar family did to their own kids. They would lock them in their rooms at night.
Jim Bob and the church pastor had a falling out several years ago during Covid over whether or not to have in-person services. Jim Bob and his family left the church, apparently took a lot of members with them, and the pastor ended up with nowhere to live with his wife and seven kids. Joe was a successful realtor and gifted them a house to live in.
Joe's father-in-law discovered the alleged abuse and confronted Joe. Joe confessed to him and father-in-law called the police. Calling the police when you find out about child sex abuse should be a given, but in this church cult they're all involved in I am pleasantly surprised.

Well it may not have been the dad after all. It was Satan that called the police. Today someone associated with the Duggars anonymously told the Daily Mail that this is all an attack from Satan and if you follow Christ the enemy will come attack.

Wow. Wish I was surprised but I'm not. Wife and I watched the show for a season or two when it first came out. I thought it was over the top back then. I remember her predicting that there would be a big scandal with this family at some point and she was right. I was expecting one of them to get caught at a gay bar, not this.
