Tuned in on a whim Sunday night and really enjoyed this show.

The "I know HTML" t-shirt was hysterical.

Lol reminded me of when a prof asked the class what HTML stood for. I wish I had said "How To Meet Ladies" hahahaha.

Outstanding. Everything I expected it to be. Pretty much every line had me giggling.

"They're all *******s, especially Radiohead"
Brogrammers
Aspergers Dating site - "she can't even make eye contact with the camera"
"I'm not humiliating you, I'm elevating you"
Aviato (can't wait to have an episode revolved around this)

So much potential laid out there. Feels like a modern big budget version of Office Space. Finally! Would be awesome if they worked in an Initech reference or had a Michael Bolton sighting. I've watched that movie 100 times and I've watched this pilot 3 times.

TJ Miller is the obvious breakout star. I feel like I've seen him before any times but this is the first time he's the biggest star. Weak link may be the main character dude - a little too much awkwardness for a main character maybe.

It's not just Aviato that has me laughing every time I hear it, it's the way he pronounces Aviato. Hell, I'm laughing now just thinking about it.

His character is all around fantastic. Taking credit for getting everyone in to the party (when all he did was drive), his pep talk with Richard at the end where he bragged about his life and how the ladies loved him, and his "now a little about me..." intro to Gavin had me rolling.

That guy's acting with Judge's writing is nails.

Mushroom stamp. I read that the dude who plays Peter Gregory died of lung cancer in December. I wonder how that is gonna play out in the show. He seems to have an important role. Pretty sad that he passed away.

The stripper scene was great. Everyone bails, Indian guy speaks Indian and afraid of boners with others.
You can't just wake up one day with a great idea, and go start a company, it takes work and skills. I like that entrepreneurial aspect of the show. "I didn't know anything was due today"

I don't have HBO so I will have to wait for the Netflix release after the season is over.

I'm really looking forward to this show. Office Space is still one of my all time favorites. King of Hill was incredible. And I think Idiocracy is underappreciated.

What fascinates me about this show is the fact that someone like Judge, an Austinite, is doing a Silicon Valley show. I just can't help but think that he will lob some real zingers across the Silicon Valley bow as a way to put them in their place given some pretty obvious sense of superiority(mostly earned mind you) they have over the other tech sector hotbeds like Austin.

Does anyone get a sense that he's locked and loaded the show in that way?

policy, Judge takes some pretty good jabs in my opinion at the culture of Tech Firms with their Bike meetings and "Voluntary" Mandatory weekend retreats. He has the potential for some real gems.

policy,

I don't think he has an agenda against them or it's an Austin vs Palo Alto thing.

He worked in Silicon Valley before he got into television (Judge is a brilliant and fascinating guy), and he saw an opportunity to make a satire of something he knew very well. Similar in that way with King of the Hill and blue collar Texans. And like King of the Hill, even though there's a lot of fun being poked, it's never mean spirited, and in a way it's kind of a nice tribute. And really funny at the same time.

In the opening Napster logo is on a balloon… that deflates - right before the AOL building front craters and big ol' FACEBOOK sign goes up.

Peter Gregory's assistant chick… Wood. BTW.

I hate that ****ing Trivago guy so much.

And Gregory's assistant is the girl from Sex Drive, which is a seriously underrated comedy. I've always thought she was gorgeous.

Agreed.

Judge's humor is really fascinating, and a credit to his brilliance. He's edgy but rarely crass. He can mock and poke fun at culture without ever being mean. Even the "bad guys" in "Office Space" (like Lumbergh) weren't truly bad, they were just these regular people that got completely detached from reality due to their status as an authoritarian cog in the bureaucratic machine.

Somehow Chuck Lorre is the darling of the network sitcom world, and he doesn't have half of Judge's brilliance.
