How long do you want to ignore this user?
so what are we interpreting the burning of the map and tape at the end as? that he won't flip? that he will flip and is burning evidence?

good call on the prisoner leading back to Oleg's dad, seems like a good bet

I have a feeling Misha will be back. If him getting off of a plane was the end of that story line then it was handled very poorly in my opinion. That doesn't seem to happen in this show so I think he shows up again.

Agreed that the Misha storyline really helped with the Gabriel angle. And if Gabriel does leave the picture, I imagine that will open up for Claudia to take more direct action if she suspects the Jennings are slipping. She won't be nearly as sympathetic.

I hope it doesn't end there, I think now that they devoted an episode to Philip learning about his father, it seems a nice development to have him learn the tragedy of his Russian son. Maybe Claudia could tell Phillip that Gabriel sent Misha home in an attempt to either manipulate Phillip or destroy his trust in Gabriel.

Interesting, because I think Henry is going to doom them.

The Gabriel thing seems really rushed, especially for this slow-burn of a show.

Nitpicking though. Best show on TV? Top 5 without question.

I hope there was more to the Misha storyline than just convincing Gabriel to retire.

Maybe he'll spill the beans on his way out to Philip?? I dunno but it seems like Philip will find out about it one way or another...

I think Philip finding out about his son will be the final straw for him and the center and cause him to finally kill Grandma and go to the feds.

I'm finding myself hoping more and more that either Paige or Phillip goes to the Feds.

While they certainly could get caught up with the FBI in one way or another, it seems like using their spy skills to just disappear and move to Des Moines or something would be a more likely "out" than actually turning themselves in.

This series has been very historically accurate in its depictions of the reactions of the US and Soviets to different historical events. There is a bit of "historical fiction" to the show in that SOME events have been depicted as very plausible given the time and place. That's why I don't see this ending any other way than the way it did in real life.

Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. They may go through a whole arc of taking steps toward turning themselves in, but before they do it, the Feds sweep in and arrest them after a big party that Henry throws the night before. He thinks it's because they were too loud, Paige knows it's because they are blown. Maybe Stan's girlfriend is CIA not for him necessarily, but for the Jennings. They may already be suspicious and keeping an eye on them.

Paige denies accusations of knowing about them and colluding. Phillip and Elizabeth are swapped for US agents the Russians have captured (maybe Oleg?!?), Henry and Paige are stripped of US citizenship, and forced to return to Russia with their parents... the Soviet Union in its death throes. Fin.

This season has been very slow but very good. Nice slow burn...i hope it leads to some great episodes in the coming weeks. I love this show

Doesn't Phillip and Elizabeth think Claudia is no longer in the picture meaning she returned "home?" I don't see Gabriel going anywhere especially now he has meet Paige.. He is the final piece to get Paige to believe in the cause.

Was someone else following the wheat guy? They made a point to show the lady in the housecoat (?) a couple of times before P&E entered the phone booth.

I felt like a big revelation or plot development was coming in that episode but it never really happened. Not much happened actually.

I figured either Gabriel was gonna tell Philip about his son or they were gonna show Stans gf reporting to the Soviets..

That was weird. They sure did make a point to pan to that lady, weird if she was just an extra.

Was Gabriel stirring a fight between Elizabeth and Phillip by telling Phillip that? Elizabeth seems like she may still want Paige in the family business

Is the wheat stuff gonna turn out to be a weapon after all ? Why such security for a crop designed to end world hunger? Corporate espionage is real, but armed guard round the clock and that fence at the place where they killed the lab guy, then zero security, not even a fence in Mississippi? Either hippie dude is something other than the peace/love/food stuff or else his project is different from whatever is going on behind the fence

Stan's blonde - I now think she's an American plant, trying to see if Stan has flipped. That's why he isn't being transferred, not because of the Tass Russian. His threat to the deputy AG about the Oleg tape was the end of his career but she's there to learn what she can, and now he actually opened up a bit about work. But Stan is very smart and seemed to be trying to figure out why he wasn't transferred. I think he'll figure it out about her

I did not read it that way.

Remember how he felt about having to send Philip's son back home, and his comment about all eh has left are an uncle and nephew or something like that?

I think it is just what he has been saying. He is old. He is tired. And as he has no family left, he is telling Philip he is right and should keep his close.

I think that was just their side-kick lady. The same lady who stood look-out at the OKC lab where they killed the technician.

And yeah, that ending with Gabriel. Wow. I could have watched an hour of that.

Gabriel has always been somewhat dismissive of Phillip because of Phillip's doubts, but then the last things he will ever to say to Phillip are that he did a bunch of stuff he regrets for the motherland, and to try to keep Paige out of it. And all just when Phillip was starting to get a little back on board with something positive re the wheat.

I just got the vibe that Gabriel felt he could say his honest non-party line peace on his way out the door. Not much more than that,

I think it's too late now but it'd be funny if Henry's fondness of Stan led him to pursue a career in the FBI..

I was incredibly disappointed Gabriel didn't tell Phillip about Misha. I didn't understand why he said "you're slipping, Phillip" just because he asked if Stan's GF is a Russian spy. That is a valid/legitimate question!

Their whole goodbye was incredibly anticlimactic.

The look on Paige's now ex-boyfriend when she shoved him was awesome. Looks like she's learning how to fight from Elizabeth after all!!

Why in the brown cow would Oleg want to read about what they did to his mother? That just seems like emotional cutting.

Gabriel knows Philip is hanging by a thread. Telling him about his son, especially that his son WAS mere minutes away, would break him.

That's not Philip's job or business. The KGB has very clear lanes and straying out of yours can have bad ends. Gabriel knows that better than most and is warning Philip.

I bet we see Oleg having a breakdown. Probably after he finds out his dad is involved in the whole grocery bribery deal. The tension is awesome.

It is hard to use the word "love" for a show that is so dark, but I love it.

Oleg is losing faith in the system. Digging into his mother's past will only push him further.
