Did anyone else think Isaac sounded like Brent Spiner(aka Data)?

It was close enough to me that I had to look up the cast list and see who was voicing Isaac. It's not Spiner, but man it sounded pretty close.

Any show that brings in Jeffrey Tambor in as the main character's father is good enough for me. I think I enjoyed those first few minutes with him in it than I did the rest of the episode, which I still liked.

I'm on board for this show. I hope that the advertising for it doesn't end up killing it. I hope that people aren't tuning in thinking it's Seth MacFarlane doing his "Family Guy/Ted" type humor instead of a genuine Star Trek type homage that is also a comedy.

It seems to me the most like TNG than any other Trek shows. I like it so far. Which means it'll get cancelled probably.

So thanks the DAL/DEN game running long, I missed most of the episode. I even recorded the Simpsons but still missed it. The last thing I saw was the young acting captain saying "They can bite me, we're going anyway".

The plot for this episode reminded me of an episode from Star Trek: The Animated Series. http://memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/The_Eye_of_the_Beholder_(episode)

Still hard to figure this show out. The budget and potential is clearly impressive, but it wavers between drug humor, butt jokes, and practical tips on leadership. Not quite hooked yet. Will keep watching, though.

Stupid satire is still stupid. It would have been more effective as satire and less implausible within the plot if males and "females" looked exactly the same and the "female" wanted surgery to look completely different in some way. Dr. Seuss already did Sneetches, though.
