It is going to be interesting with the academy awards that is for sure. Good year with incredibles and this in the same year. Good chance a superhero film will win an award

You unabashedly love Star Wars, Marvel, the DCEU, and all things Disney, but you have "zero interest" in seeing this??? Not knocking you at all, it's just that this has to be one of the most baffling posts I've ever seen on this board. I would have thought for sure you'd be all over this.
I'm a fan of comic book movies, but just not animated ones. Not a fan, what can I tell you.
As in post credit scenes? Our family is excited to see it. My 7 year old daughter especially. I've turned her into a Spidey fan.fig96 said:
That was just incredible.
Having seen the first 30 minutes or so (up to the graveyard scene) I had an idea of what to expect but...wow.
This has the best Spidey sequences we've ever seen on film, is incredibly genuine and heartfelt, and is just visually stunning. The big action set piece at the end of the film is absolutely nuts.
I can't wait to go see it again. And be sure to stay ALL the way till the end.

One of the voices was very didtinct and familiar, but I couldn't place it. Saw who it was in the credits and said out loud "well I'll be damned." Really solid voice talent all around.

I wonder if this movie wasn't Sony trying to make audiences comfortable with the idea of a multiverse before introducing that in Homecoming 2? (Which apparently seems to take place in an alternate universe.)
If not, seems like a pretty weird coincidence.

So how did Sony manage to include non-Spidey characters? What is the contractual situation? Is animation just more forgiving?

Man, I enjoyed the heck out of this one. A lot better than any other Spider-Man movie.

Yeah, I can't decide if I like this better than Homecoming. It was my favorite movie of the year.
It was at the time...before Winter Soldier, Guardians, Infinity War, Iron Man, Black Panther, Homecoming...hunter2012 said:Champ Bailey said:txjortsagent said:

How quickly so many forget Spiderman 2. Many considered it the best superhero movie outside of the Dark Knight trilogy.

When I told my wife about the first bad review it got she says "Was it that guy?" and I said "No, but I'm sure he will too."Bruce Almighty said:
Guess what? Armond White gave it a bad review.
