-I still feel like the show gets progressively worse each season. Lazy and uninspired writing last night. It's still a great show. I miss Veep. Funny how both have huge Seinfeld ties but one show gets worse very year and the other gets better every year. And I thought Seinfeld got worse every year after the peak while Curb gets better every year.
-Richard's schtick is tiresome to the point where stuff like his meltdown at the end doesn't move the needle anymore
-Jared is still awesome - had some random line about understanding what it's like to be trapped in a small space
-Jian-Yang is the funniest bit going. Great potential.
-Gavin's schtick was weak
-Gilfoyle and Dinesh didn't do anything of note

Really liked Richard being a dick to screw Sliceline. However, him bumbling over his words constantly is getting a little absurd.
The "Urlich" note was absolutely hilarious.
I thought Dinesh did an acceptable job of screaming, "Jian-Yang!" as he opened the back door to ask why there was a Chinese guy in his bed.
That opening bit with the neon-lit room had me rolling. It hit pretty close to home as I've had some managers who had had that same idea and executed on them. Them tripping over the power outlets (which you see from the jump and fully expect to be a part of a gag) was so well done, too.
I totally thought that all the coders Gavin hired away from Richard were going to create their own company separate from Gavin and compete with Pied Piper.

Well... all we saw was the Day 1 welcome of sorts.... no reason they can't just fire half of them now.

Thought the episode was pretty, "meh" but I was glad to see the rock and roll IP attorney back , he's one of my favorite minor characters.

Finally got around to seeing it over lunch, a few thoughts:
-Jian Yang's main value was as a foil to Bachman, with no Bachman around, it's harder to get the same out of the character. Gilfoyle could be an okay proxy, but nothing tops the Yang/Bachman banter. If Yang spends the entire season developing schemes to take over Bachman's estate, it might work though.
-Richard is still just so unlikeable that I don't root for him to succeed or fail, I just don't care.
-I don't know how anyone can keep a straight face sharing a scene with Jared talking. He says the most ridiculous things and without expression, perfect delivery. I think he's officially my favorite character, I look forward to what he is going to say every episode. Regardless of where the season goes plot-wise I will tune in to hear his ridiculousness.

Probably for the same reason Hoolie had all of those software guys sitting on the roof with Big Head a while back. They were under contract and you have to pay them regardless if you need them or not.

While I get that the gulp joke is from previous episodes if they keep mic in multiple gulps from Richard I'll either have to mute or not watch. It was disgusting and like nails on a chalk board.

Gavin and Jin Yang storyline are all I care about this season
This is one of the best episodes I've seen in a while in terms of laugh out loud jokes.

Here we go again....one step forward, two steps back.
I must admit, while I laugh out loud many times per episode... how has this team not completely failed out due to lack of funding, or having their IP bought out/taken from them
the whole 1 step forward, 2 steps back has been repeated every damn season, sometimes multiple times, that it is just getting ridiculous. even for a comedy.
not bagging on the show per se, just wishing there was some actual forward momentum. or resolution.
