Every episode this season has seemed to take on a political or social issue. This episode was China and to a lesser extent child labor.

Is anyone else interested in a Jared prequel? His lines about his past life are usually the best of the episode.

I prefer it to just be left never explained and completely up to our imagination. I don't want to know exactly why Jared talks in his sleep in German or why he has a switchblade in his desk drawer; I just want to speculate on it without any context whatsoever.
It's one of my favorite parts about the show and going into any kind of detail won't live up to the crazy crap that I've already imagined.

I ran out of stuff to watch so prior to this season I binged the show. It was good enough to keep me in but after reading yalls opinion of Dinesh I felt pretty justified in my opinion that this show just isn't that great.

With Bachman gone, there aren't any characters that are likable anymore. I'm not really rooting for anyone. Jin Yang was great for some silly comic relief but even he's been made to be a complete a-hole.

I'm going to finish this much in the same vein as I did. How I Met Your Mother, in that Ive invested so much time I'd like to see how they end it, but I don't really care about what happens to anyone, good or bad

Gavin and Jared are great.

A poor Rus Hanneman is no fun.

Man, I'm loving this season and this episode in particular. The story is tighter than ever, it's going in an interesting direction, and Jared, in my opinion, is making up for no Bachman more and more.

The Peter Piper ICO launch was so typical Silicon Valley, but how it led up to that was awesome. Gilfoyle got some good air time to reenforce why is such an untrustworthy person, and how in-depth he can go if there's an opportunity to give the finger to the establishment.

Jared cutting off Richard to run down Holden was greatness, knowing that it's affecting Holden's asthma everytime he's around him.

And Jared's statement last week is one of his best:

"When you're working the corner you can't fall in love everytime you turn a trick. That's why we do the Oxy'l

Agree with this too. I liked last nights' episode and I'm fine with the direction of the show in general. The Dinesh thing has been building since the end of last year for me.

i've been pretty critical of this show. but, this season has been good tv.

however, i'll agree they have done a terrible job with dinesh's character.

In case you were wondering where the idea to have rus digging around in the dump came from

I was talking to someone last week that is in a similar situation, though with way less $$. Theirs is more in the range of $20k, but they think it's still somewhere in the house.

For the record, I have just as much time invested as any person who has also watched every single episode.....

This was the one step forward / two step backwards plotline again, but very well executed. Overall, an entertaining episode even though the plot movements were seen a mile away.

Agreed on Dinesh, Went from a great character to completely annoying.

but the Russ Hanneman appearance was gold!!!!!

Don't care for the Jared/intern weirdness.....just Jared being Jared is usually best. He had very few lines in this one just odd mannerisms and glances at the intern, etc. Maybe it will pay off some way but I just prefer the mind bending wtf throw away comments from hm that are disturbing.

Dinesh doesn't bother me that much - seeing his completely self centered narcissism play out while the fate of the entire company is at risk is funny to me. He has no clue and only cares about himself - the car, then the spying thing, then the coding contest, now the car again..... I don't know what else he would do anyway otherwise he is just another person standing around for their goofups, etc... and commenting. I kinda like that he has his completely selfish thing.

Gilfoyle getting humbled was new..... but maybe it will turn out to be a success in te end. We'll see.

I really enjoyed this episode. Some funny lines as usual (Jared mentioning "cigarette burns"), but I actually liked the plot twists and loved Monica joining Pied Piper.

Would it be funnier if the intern was like a Jared clone and Jared was acting obviously threatened? Otherwise it's just random Jared going weird on a normal dude...ok maybe that's funnier

Yes but it's not just Jared throwing out uncomfortable one liners. I guess it's giving him something new...but it's also giving me the creeps. I can accept his wild and disturbing statements since they are generally past experience I guess.

Not sure why, but I particularly enjoyed Gavin saying that the proportions were off, and his answer was to make everything bigger.

Ive been in a monogamous relationship with these characters since 2014, rewatching each prior season before the new one releases. You just started banging some random 4 weeks ago, not really the same thing IMO.

While I appreciate you have an opinion, and I think it is a justifiable opinion of not having a connection to any character, it just seems odd to me that you feel you have so much time invested and just have to see it play out. I went out with some girls for a month and spent time with them, but don't follow them on Facebook

No offense intended, honestly.

For me the only really good thing about this season has been Gavin. His "f*** you" line to the guy who suggested making the Box 3 in America was the best moment of the season by far.

Just my opinion, but that's only the second best use of "**** you" this season. Gilfoyle saying it to Jared the instant he saw his lips was better.

The explanation of how the town in NC was basically left in ruin was so great, it just kept building.

Adversity can be a great teacher, like cigarette burns. That should be on a poster.

Thought this last episode was great. The one before it was OK, but the nerd in me got hung up on Richard asking Gilfoyle if it's possible to setup their servers so that a company can have computing power but not be able to do anything they want on the system (for Laurie's company).

The guy smart enough to design a decentralized internet doesn't know that server/account permissions are a thing?

This season is killing it. The finale can go in any number of directons. I can see Pied Pier, the Chinese version with Laurie on board, and even Gavin's signature box all succeeding and/or failing....

I have a feeling Big Head is going to be involved in some big, yet dumb, way.

Gavin's introduction about North Carolina being a homecoming since he's technical home residence is in Bermuda was amazing.

I think Jinyang is going to save the day for Pied Piper, albeit maybe not intentionally.
