Yeah, that advantage is great if you don't have an alliance, but that probably burned some bridges.

What was the point of playing the hii? Even if she guessed right her team would lose on the revote wouldnt they?

No, thought that's how it should have played out. For some reason they voted 4 Tyson and 2 Denise, while there were 3 Sophie votes. Not sure why they didn't go 3 Tyson, 3 Denise.

Does anyone else think they shouldn't be able to gather like that at tribal? I kinda think it's bs that they can get all the evidence like that and then regroup and come up with a new plan.

Also, stealing a vote should not be part of the game. Your vote at tribal is the most integral part of the game, you shouldn't be able to get that taken away. Give someone an extra vote, okay, I get that; but stealing a vote is too much.

I'm pretty sure one of the minority members flipped and voted with the bigger group so Sophie only had 2 votes.

Gotcha. Looks like you're right - according to Wikipedia, Michelle voted for Tyson as well, so it was 5-2-2. I wish they would show the votes in the credits. When did they stop doing that?

If Michelle voted Tyson then it should have been

Tyson - 4
Sophie - 2
Denise - 3

If it was 5-2-2 then someone screwed up royally on the majority or Michelle told them she would flip and they knew it only took 2 to tie. Majority should have been playing for a 3 way tie of 3-3-3 or stealing a vote was useless because you are hoping the HII is played on wrong person.

I think Sarah misplayed her advantage in the jury's opinion.

i think jeremy knew it was just him, tyson, and kim voting sophie and that the other 2 were iffy at best. At that point, you have to go to your last resort "how do I get 3 more days in the game". He was correct that they were targetting him so he used his escape clause. now he just has to hope someone else does something dumb and gets targetted, or paint it on kimS back - she has lots of friends over on EoE and she had a HII without anyo f you knowing it.

A big night for Bobcat06 scoring 11 points thanks to Tony's very impressive immunity win.
I thought I was going to score some extra Jeremy points, but the rules say it's only if he uses a HII to save himself. He used his advantage instead, and since they didn't actually write his name down, I couldn't justify giving myself the points.
Similarly Kim and Sarah get no extra points for their idol/advantage plays. Kim played hers on the wrong person, and had Sarah not stolen Denise's vote, Tyson would have been voted out anyway.

I'm happy to see the next episode is called "This is Extortion". It might not feel impressive if you've only got 1 player left, but kudos to the all of us for each having at least 1 player left after 9 episodes. Tony Franklin still with a remarkable 4 out of 5, in addition to his prowess as a field goal kicker.

Damn, the dreaded MuckRaker jinx.

I need more of my peeps scoring points instead of being wallflowers.
Fat Bib Fortuna

Ha, I have been a jinx, usually on my own picks.

The thing is the more people you have in the Final 6, the points pile up in a hurry. So you could jump a big amount in that last giant episode.

I don't necessarily disagree with the steal a vote thing, but I'm OK with it.

I loudly disagree with not letting them gather at tribal. That's part of the game, and it plays a part in the strategy. They basically drew a line in the sand and exposed their alliance and didn't care. And what difference does it make that they gathered the evidence and regrouped there as opposed to back at camp?

What I found interesting was that some of the whispering crossed alliance lines.
Fat Bib Fortuna
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I don't have a problem with the whispers either. I'm sure a lot of older players are wishing they had thought of that first. The game has evolved and some players are smart enough to realize that if it's not specifically against the rules, I can do it. That's why I praise Adam for taking a gamble on the HII being right there at tribal council. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Survivor incorporates that into future seasons.
Quinn

Whispers I'm fine with, but I dunno, for some reason the huddle bugged me. Jeremy made a game play move with an advantage he bought, so now they get to press pause on tribal and change their plans? Dunno, just seemed like a cheap move to me. I get that others are okay with it, that's fine.

And I thought it was a smart move to regroup based on the changing situation.

I read it the same way, Tyson got 5 votes and Denise got 2 votes. In my opinion, it looks like Sarah messed up her vote. If the goal was to get a 3-3-3 tie to avoid any chance of HII saving the minority Alliance then it appears the boys (Nick, Tony, Ben) were supposed to vote Tyson and the girls ( Sophie, Sarah x 2) were supposed to vote Denise.

Maybe they knew Michelle was flipping. Either way, stealing a vote was very dumb if you were going to vote 4 on Tyson and 2 on Denise, you are still putting all of your eggs in the Tyson basket at that point and it is a waste of an over powered advantage.

As discussed, steal a vote is too powerful for the game, and it was wasted IMO. I was high on Sarah before this episode, that mistake makes me reconsider.

I like the advantage Jeremy had, but he should have been allowed to play it after the votes were cast, like an idol. And his vote card would have been blank. That's one way to minimize the need for huddles.

Oh it was a great gameplay move and something Sophie should use in her argument to win if she makes it to the end. I just think they should change the rules so that they can't get out of their seat at tribal except to play advantages. Only my opinion of course.

It was nice to see some emotion out of Amber, she's seemed pretty morose the entire game.

Only to be mean to Sandra, it would have been hilarious to trot Sandra's family out there only to tell them, nope your mom's a quitter.

Ethan Zohn is one awesome human. That guy is living every moment fully, god bless him and his recovery.

Wish Nick had been at EoE to see Parvati smooching with her husband.

Good point, maybe that was the purpose of the edit back at camp where she was getting pissed about Tony not listening. She either got confused or said Eff it.

Can't stand the Tribal Council shenanigans.

But, players adapt. If I were on the chopping block, I'd jump up, huddle, pull someone aside and lie like a big dog to muddy up the situation. The more confusion at the last second, the better chance I'd have. If I could get a domino effect going, I could change the whole narrative from the day.

Tyson flipping the bird at the token bowls was very classy...

Username checks out

That was an impressive episode and move. I don't know if it was the right move, but it was executed extremely well. Everyone was calm at tribal and a bomb went off.

Big target on Tony's back with back to back immunity and one of the best executed blindsides to date. And he owes 3 people tokens.

Thought about this more this week. Jeremy leaving like he did threw all of the plans out of the window and they HAD to reconvene to come up with a new plan.

Big move but now Tony has some enemies. Lots of people pissed off include 2 different groups that though they could trust him.

He makes good TV but he annoys me.

Such a fun season so far. Love all these guys going balls out to win.

Great episode wire to wire for me. Really wish they had knocked out Ben instead of Sophie. For some reason he's really irritated me this year. Kinda seems to have the "how dare you even think about voting me" attitude. Loved Jeremy's glares at him during the early part of the vote reading. Through very little of his own doing, Jeremy has now done twice what I would consider to be the hardest thing - survived the week you were the target, then survived the next vote as well, to where you now are largely forgotten as the alliance that tried to get you out turns on itself. Tony might have voted out Sophie, but he's now stuck between an alliance that does not trust him and 3 people that trust him only insomuch as they were able to use him to save themselves. I wonder if Nick would consider lying and refusing to admit he flopped, putting it on Kim since she had previously voted with Michelle and Jeremy.

Episode highlights:
MIchele and Kim on the runway. Yep, eye candy still works on Survivor
All-time Tonyism: "I noticed something in my bag this morning so I ran as far away from camp as I could so nobody would notice I was missing."

In our pickem contest. the Tony uprising did wonders for a second straight week for Bobcat06 who is now within 4 points of Southlake for the lead. The only other person to reach the 70-point margin is gravy97. Sophie's exit knocked out another spoke in the wheel for gracy97, TriumphForks, Bobcat06, and myself. Remarkably, and I hate to sound like a broken record here, Tony Franklin still has 4 out of his 5 original picks alive - Michele, Sarah, Ben, and Nick, and is currently fifth with 65 points.Equally surprising, no one has lost all 5 players yet, although myself, AgSquirrel97, TriumphForks, and Quinn are all down to just one left.

I really hope the EoE person comes back next week. I hate how few people are left and they are still carrying on. If it's someone who one of us has picked - at this point that would Sophie, Yul, Wendell, Tyson, Parvati, Ethan, Danni, Rob - it could have a huge swing on the points contest, as that person would get a +5 and possibly land at least in the top 6 for another bonus.

At this point, the most popular remaining players based on how many people out of 13 have them are:
Sarah: 8
Ben: 5
Denise: 3
Kim: 3
Nick: 3
Tony: 1
Jeremy: 1

Since I have Ben, I'm wanting him to stay obviously, but I agree with you. In the edit he always comes off aggressive about having anyone talk about him, but conversely, he seems to always have the "I don't know what's going on" theme at Tribal when Jeff asks him a question. If I'm still in the game, I'd be pretty tired of that.

Tony still has an idol, correct? That means he has two chances left to protect himself (idol, then immunity since he won't win 3 in a row) as they come after him and really needs immunity from here out to survive. Sarah has to do all she can to rally the troops now that she is so pissed at him.

So next week has to bring someone back in from extinction, it's already gone on too long.

It's not the hero or villain aspect, it's how he talks to others in this game. He just not a likeable person.
