Bens quite possible the least likeable player in the game left.

We're convinced in our house they manipulated his win.
I don't remember much about that season, but I do remember being OK that he won.

He got literally every break you can get. Almost too good to be true.

Him lamenting about "how fast a million goes" didn't do him any favors with me either.

That was not relevant to advancing the plot at all, he must not be a production favorite for them to intentionally include it in the show.

I don't remember that quote at all. Was that this week? Any context?

Yeah, they were sitting around camp and he said that. Dude served and has battled PTSD, has a wife and two young kids. Not sure the point of that unless it's a winner's edit since it had no bearing on the episode.

It was at camp, after the challenge maybe - he was talking to Sarah or Sophie and somebody said something about how hard the game is and he said something like "and yeah that million goes so quickly".

If we are theorizing his edit, its zero vote finalist, isn't it? Does he somehow win this? Hard to see him beating anyone else in the game.

Ben luckily found a HII that he played at that tribal. Repeat 3x

Tony won two challenges, found a HII, then got the worst "advantage" ever

Tony has been in the spotlight, but it's hard to argue that its been staged for him.

Wasn't Ben also beneficiary of the fire challenge at 4 (when he wasn't immune and hadn't found an idol for the first time in like 4-5 tribals)? That was Ben's "unfair" unlock key (compared to Tony's super "after the votes are read" idol).

Talking about Tonys season. He never won II and he had the Tyler Perry Idol.

The ability to reconvene nullified a lot of Jeremy's big move IMO, though I get that we disagree on this one which is totally fine.

I agree with that - he'll be third place with no votes. I think Sophie and Tony have the strongest case so far, though I doubt Sophie makes it back from EoE.

I don't think it did. Jeremy did not get voted out, so his advantage worked, and that was what he was trying to accomplish. And he made it past this vote as well.

Wish I had seen this thread earlier and got in on the Pick 'Em contest! But man, what an episode! Sophie had probably played the strongest game up to this episode IMO..she was controlling everything it seemed like. Huge move for Tony. It was also crazy to see how much it seemed like Jeremy wrestled with the idea of booting Sophie.

More so he didn't know if Tony was lying to him.

Yeah it was definitely that...funny how bought in he was when Tony was trying to play him, but how hesitant he was when Tony was actually trying to work with him

I 100% believe that a producer was leading Ben around finding immunity idols on his season. I didn't really care for her, but that actuary lady should have won that season.

Great point. During the first 30 minutes he was 100% with Tony and last 5 mins before tribal he was not buying it.

The votes were exactly like Tony said they would be, which I think is how the game will be played during the next few seasons. Just sit back all day and formulate a plan when everyone is grabbing their torches to head out.

I think Tony might win this.

I really didn't like him his first 2 games, but he's really grown on me.

I also think that whoever comes back from EoE has a legit chance.

He's got a huge target on his back now. I'm doubtful that he can safely navigate to the finals, though I'd love to see it.

I realize the return from EoE might not happen for another couple of episodes, but gun to your head, who would be your vote for who makes it back if it happened right now - who you think, not who you want.

Oddly, I think my vote might be Natalie, who has been out there almost every day. She is in incredible shape and has been playing the EoE game the entire time.

Yep, in order Natalie/Tyson toss up, then Rob. Can't really see anyone else since it will probably be balance/stamina with only minor puzzle potential.

I think Yul has a chance to win back in.

I think the players know how big of an advantage EOE players have with jury and will promptly vote the returner out. Maybe use them for 1 vote and then bounce them.

Yeah....Ben win was somewhat garbage because that particular season of Survivor kept offering all these advantages that had not been used before.

Hardcore Survivor fans were pissed because it really was no longer the game of Survivor, but more of a treasure hunt....which Ben took advantage.

The MIL-F that finished in second place should have easily won that season. In any other season of Survivor after she won that Final immunity Ben would have been voted off.

That twist ending up screwing her because she would have most likely won against the other two players.

Forgot about Wendell. He has a very good chance also. Burned another episode and they are still hanging out earning fire tokens.

Kass is on twitter blowing up Survivor producers saying they're helping Tony since his arm wasn't totally straight like the others.

Man, Tony is dominating this season. Challenges, social manipulation, voting control. He's got it all. How did he get Ben to vote out Kim?

Regarding the bent elbow, it did look like that for sure.

If I had a gun to my head and the only way to survive was to have sex with Kass, it would be nice having known you all.

Just watched this bizarro epsiode where the entire tribe now knows Jeremy has an advantage andTony has an idol but neither got played. STandings are updated, will post them in the a.m.

I don't know why Tony got so bent about Ben finding the idol and immediately trying to hide it. It's the game, it's what you do. It's human nature at that point.

And again, EOE is now useless, putting one of them back in the game should mean two things:

They get voted out immediately unless they have an idol in hand or win immunity or they will be the winner since they have bonded with the jury so much. The hypothetical: Rob (based on the gratuitous filming last night) wins entrance back in (didn't he buy an idol with his fire tokens?). He gets by one vote and then goes on a run with immunity. He makes it to the finals, the old schoolers love him and the others admire him for not being a quitter, boom, Rob wins in a runaway and he's only played how long?

I think the whole whispers at tribal council is played out and should be banned in future seasons for the primary reason that it just isn't compelling television.

Tribal counsel whispers is more interesting than most of the conversations at camp. It shows who's really playing and who's just coasting.

All it shows is a bunch of people whispering into each other's ears, with Jeff being all "Is there something you would like to share with the rest of the class?" Afterward, someone gets voted out, and we aren't really sure how or why it happens because we only hear about 25% of the conversation that led up to it.

There have been some votes that came out of the blue (Ethan), but it wasn't due to whispers. If anything, the whispers showed how Tony flipped both Ben and Nick while at Tribal.

It also shows who the real players are.

Compare Tony to Ben: "Where are you on voting for Kim?" "Do we have the numbers?"

vs Denise to Kim: "Why are we whispering in each other's ear?" "I don't know"

Survivor has always been about evolving to survive in the game. Whispers are just the most recent step in that evolution.
