I asked a few weeks ago if we needed to start a new thread, and everyone who chimed in said they'd keep game talk behind spoiler tags, but I don't have much faith in that actually happening.

Frankly it was a questionable decision for that Walking Dead crossover in chapter 4 but I think the devs made it worthwhile in chapter 13
I feel like this show is gonna be a pretty big deal and would be nice to split it up like GoT.

Personally I already know one of the big spoilers unfortunately, from way before the show existed, because it was all over Twitter, but I think a non-spoiler thread would be good to have for everyone else. I'd probably stick to that one.

For those of us that played the game….we should know what the spoilers are….that being the different types of zombies that appeared in the game….namely the "bosses" along with the various deaths and character reveals….especially the "you'd just come after her" reveal…..and also the father with the young boy who gets bit and turns…..yeah that was a real downer in game….we've definitely seen their faces in the trailers but appears those two characters might have an expanded role
Heck I wouldn't even allude to the hospital shootout scene with Joel getting injured from the fall because the payoff with finding out that those weren't just faceless enemies who's deaths tied in to a certain characters true motivations with finding Joel later on was so well done in the game I can't wait to see how they put it to screen…..
And for those of you who haven't played the game who are tempted to read these blacked out texts…..don't…..just don't…..watch the story knowing nothing.
There's a neat giraffe later…..there……that's not a spoiler…..

I am genuinely waiting to hear reactions from people on the first episode since I don't have the means of watching it….yet…..mainly because oh hell honestly if you haven't played the game and are reading this I'm doing you a favor you overly curious self story ruiner…..and if you played the game you already know what I'm referring to…..purple monkey dishwasher……

i think they should incorporate quick-time events into the show, and people have to text in a response to determine the outcome.

That was fantastic. And VERY in line with the game. I like that - no need to mess with perfection.
Felt like a very faithful remake (which is good). They fleshed out everything well. Bella and Pedro were perfect castings.

First 30 minutes were electric. Loved that first episode. Having it end on the flashback to the first officer sequence was perfect.

Yeah, house on fire, truck scene, town scene. Truck scene was almost shot for shot taken from the game.
Really strong first episode. My only gripe so far is the timeline isn't the same as the game's timeline. I understand why that was done to make it more relevant to today, but Outbreak day should have been in 2013.

As far as episode 1 goes, this is exactly how a live action adaptation should be done. A few things were changed but the changes didn't derail the main storylines….(unlike amazons HORRIFIC adaptation of "the wheel of time")

Also, the scene with Joel going HAM on that FEDRA officer near the end of Ep1 does a great job in bringing home the brutality and violence you're forced to deal with in the game to stay alive
