Do all the songs have that lousy rapping in them, I have only heard a couple songs and the guys terrible rap ruined them.
Beastie Boys, Tribe called Quest, De La Soul, Erik B and Rakim, Public Enemy
90s stuff.
Maybe the raps aren't well done for people with a knowledge of rap?CDub06 said:GoAgs92 said:PatAg said:Give some examples of rap you do like, otherwise you are being disengenous. Choosing to watch a musical that has rapping, when you don't like, is insane.GoAgs92 said:

You're in luck. There are several 90's rap callbacks including most obviously Biggie & Grandmaster Flash. And when you say "that guys delivery," there are several guys in this production.

Pretty good to go from a 2009 poetry jam at the White House to getting $75 million from Disney for the rights to the movie.

I hate rap music and actually love the Cabinet Battles

Starting this now. The theater announcer introduced himself as "your king, George III," and the audience cheered. 240 years later and New York is still on the wrong side.
I guess it depends which guy you heard, because the guy who wrote all of it and plays the main character, is all about 90s rap.GoAgs92 said:
Thats the problem, i love rap...just not that guys delivery.
they cheered for a couple of reasons 1 being the originator of the role was back for one show so that was a special treat to the audience.DVC2010 said:

I'm sure this will be an unpopular opinion here, but I thought Lin Manuel kind of sucked as Hamilton. The guy I saw in the touring show was better. Lin just didn't seem like he fit the role to me. He didn't really have the cockyness that was implied in the show. I guess if you create the show, though, you can demand the lead.

I'm not going to lie, this is like watching a live action Hot Fuzz version of Romeo and Juliette. I don't get the appeal.
it is very good creative art performed by some amazingly talented people. Also, it is based on a real dude who is a part of our American story.Philip J Fry said:

Pretty sure Hamilton and Burr were not in some kind of love affairPhilip J Fry said:

Let me be specific. I don't find the vocals particularly strong.
