Even if this broadway number didn't get to touch on every detail or nuance to your satisfaction, the fact is, going against the grain and doing an entire musical on a founding father is unconventional and brave. I've found myself doing a lot of research and reading about Hamilton and Burr's history and history of their parties as well as the founding fathers and their ideology. If this bring our nations history into a global or cultural spotlight and sparks any interest for folks to further look into things like that, it is a win.

There have been other Broadway shows about the founding fathers. And one even won a Tony for best musical.

The wife and I agreed with you. The touring guy was definitely betterAustinAg2K said:
I'm sure this will be an unpopular opinion here, but I thought Lin Manuel kind of sucked as Hamilton. The guy I saw in the touring show was better. Lin just didn't seem like he fit the role to me. He didn't really have the cockyness that was implied in the show. I guess if you create the show, though, you can demand the lead.

I thought the traveling show's Burr was better. However, I believe that has more to do with the look than the voice. Odom is very short and has too "pretty" of a smile to be Burr in my opinion. The guy who played Burr when it came to New Orleans had a great voice, was tall, and fit the picture.Legal Custodian said:
I actually wasn't the biggest fan of Burr either.

If NextDoor had duels, my neighborhood would be something out of a Corey Feldman/Tom Hanks Movie. And I would cook out in the front more often.AustinAg2K said:Brian Earl Spilner said:

I don't know. On the face it seems stupid, but then I think if we had duels to protect people's honor, at least half of Twitter users would be dead... So maybe it's not so bad.

Can we cancel Hamilton for glorifying our racist founding fathers and painting America as a good country," one Twitter user wrote.
"Can't believe Disney is showing a show about a slave trader in times like this. Also the actors aren't the same colour as the people they are portraying. How dare they," posted another.
