So, is this movie good? It's about the American Revolution, right?

Sorrry folks, my wife and i rented it, she wanted to ditch it in 3 minutes.
This. Digging up a thread after 15+ days of inactivity to continue feeding the same line is textbook. Don't respond to it, just flag it and move onStive said:
He's trolling.
Don't feed the troll.
My wife and I listened to the OST a few times and it got stuck in our heads for about a month straight. We have to shout each other down if someone accidentally starts singing one of Angelica's songs or something.Frok said:
My kids are obsessed with it now. I enjoyed it at first, it's now becoming the new "Let it Go".
Jesus you people are hysterical. My wife brought it up on her ipad, i am pretty sure she paid for it. We played it on our tv. The only thing i knew about it was it had critical acclaim (in todays world often not a plus, but whatever). She told me it was a musical as she started it up.COOL LASER FALCON said:cbr said:

This proves he's lying, doesn't it? Isn't it just available on Disney+?
Honest warning: Hamilton isn't my favorite musical ever, but it is definitely in the top 5 or so for me. To give it ~5 min and say there wasn't any evidence of talent? Nah, man. You admitted to not being a big rap fan, so you already had an inherent bias against it and everything is gonna stem from that.cbr said:Sorrry folks, my wife and i rented it, she wanted to ditch it in 3 minutes. I'm still amazed there are men that seem to be scared of enjoying theater so much they look for immediate reasons to move on.
Nope.
I am not a big rap fan, but it is not an instant turnoff itself. I made plenty of money dj'ing in the 80's and 90's, and even a few times in 06, and there was plenty of rap in the sets.
This particular show just has particularly ****ty rap.
I wish someone had given me the same honest warning.
I was very skeptical of this thing and usually hate things that "everyone loves". But I couldn't help but like it. But I do like hip hop. Also, the more I watch, the more incredible Phillipa Soo gets. My 2 year old will listen to "You'll be back" on repeat all day long if he could.J-Quob said:Honest warning: Hamilton isn't my favorite musical ever, but it is definitely in the top 5 or so for me. I am not a big country music fan (read: hate country music), so anything that has a country music basis is going to already be a big negative for me. Kind of seems like the same thing here.
Also, you missed out on fantastic performances from Daveed Diggs, Phillipa Soo, and Jonathan Groff (there's more, but these stand out for me personally).
