Watched the first 1.5 episodes last night. It's ****ing stupid. A bad attempt to have an insult looking for a joke.

That star power and that's the s*** they cranked out? Everyone involved should be ashamed for not not saying "end scene, wtf are we doing?" Every day they came to work.

As soon as trump uttered the words "space force", a stupid name that sounds like my 4th grade G.I. Joe inner monologue, some idiot slapped a horrible script together. I don't mind good political humor, but bad attempts to just insult are worthless.
Staff - take out the trash.

Yep.

I fell asleep during the first episode. The last part that I remember was the office scene with the doctor but nothing about it makes me want to waste time finishing that episode.

Way too many forced jokes.

I also want to add that it is not bad because of the political shots at Trump. The "shots" are pretty weak and if they offend you, you might be one of those "snowflakes". They take some shots at AOC, so it isn't all directed at Trump. Keep in mind I didn't make it through two episodes.

Agree that the political shots arent bad, the show is just bad. It seems like they werent sure what kind of show they wanted to make, but had to make something

I finished the entire season this morning. The writing definitely fell short of the talent. It felt a lot like Veep to me with the ensemble cast. Unleashing Dan Bakkedahl's humor was a missed opportunity. I liked the subtle humor that you really had to listen for but the easy laughs just weren't there. I do agree on Carell's voice modulation being odd too. The only thing missing was him yelling "Kelly Clarkson".

This sounds bad. I honestly don't know that there are many comedy shows I have watched in the last ten years that were funny and I enjoyed. All the shows y'all love are just bleh. I have tried so many times watch them, but they usually seemed contrived.

I generally avoid comedies to avoid disappointment.

Alright so I read the first page of reviews yesterday and I don't get it. Watched the first 2 episodes today and was cracking up. No it's not the office but it's pretty dang funny. Quit having impossible expectations and maybe you'll enjoy it.

Truthfully I didn't like the first episode of the office or the first couple but it ended up being hilarious. Try not to be so serious, you'll never make it out alive.

Which parts were funny? The part with the chimp trying to fix the ship? I imagine they thought it got funnier and funnier, but to me it was just stupid and unfunny. I can't think of a single part in the first two episodes that were hilarious.

I kinda like it. Jokes just aren't where I thought they'd be. There have been a few good ones, but this should be a lot better. Hard to tell where its going.

Only 3 episodes in. Holy crap, the Coast Guard ball busting had me rolling! Everything about the dead dog was hilarious. The hearing with AOC and flat earth senator was brilliant.

I think some of y'all watched the show wanting to be disappointed.

Started the first episode.

I already don't like the camera angles they were using with Carrell and the guy from The Americans. Everything feels unneccesarily zoomed in, and I don't get the appeal to it.

- "you just said secure phone" "no I didnt" ... not remotely funny, just lazy writing

- stretches his leg out on a desk and accidentally launches a rocket...lazy and dumb

-quirkily starts singing Beach Boys cocomo, then breaks into a dance routine... lazy and dumb

- I do like John Malkovich's character and their back and forth power struggle

- ending scene not funny

I'll watch the rest of them, there is too much talent attachted to just dismiss it after one episode.

If it were some random show, I would definitely not watch anymore.

Completely disagree.

Knowing what shows have been popular on this board and the cast of this show, most of us really hoped that it would be a funny satire about the government / military that was fun to watch.

In 70 years the Socialist have won without firing a single shot. This is their Cold War. A lukewarm congrats to the victors.

Our only hope is a Civil War, a very unlikely scenario OR secession of at least 10 states in the South and Midwest, again unlikely OR another Trump-like Presidential candidate that cuts through the political correctness, the social bullsh6t, to expose the corruption, the media(social) bias, the Dem lies and deceit. I fear it may be too late - I truly think it is.

Wow. I'm 4 episodes in and I like it. John Malkovich is great. I like Jean Ralphio or whatever his real name is. Wish they'd spend more time with the other Joint Chiefs. I think Diedrich Baeder is hilarious. Love the tagging on the Coast Guard, they're not a real branch anyways. My wife mentioned that serving or experiencing the military life style makes this series relatable. Looking forward to finishing up the season and hoping for more

So we are nancies for not liking a terrible show? Looks around, you are in the minority in thinking this is anything short of awful. I didn't want it to be The Office meets space, I just wanted it to be watchable.

It cracks me up when people use "nancies" on a website that is loaded with ranchers,fire fighters - EMS, good cops, at least two Texas Rangers, and no telling how many combat vets.

That's funnier than any line on any show.

Episode 3 showed that they aren't just ripping on Trump. There are some pointed representations of Democratic congresspeople in there, too, and they're not obscure. "Senator Pitosi"

Watched it all yesterday. Not the best, but definitely some good moments. I'm interested to see if they're able to make a leap in quality with the second season.

Did find it to be a bit heavier than I expected, to the point where at times it feels like they were straight up going for suspenseful military drama instead of the farce that it seemed to be (at least from how I expected it)
