Who can you talk to about getting like 5 more seasons of Berserk made? I know the visual style was polarizing, but there is no Berserk content being made and it's the greatest manga of all time. Meanwhile there are approximately 15,000 episodes of One Piece.

This, what the studio did to Berserk in 2016-7 was a crime. Heck even the last 5 minutes of 2D animation was light years above the digital animations that they used for the fight scenes. They would have even been fine if they had used the same animation style as the movies. Regardless Berserk needs the FMAB or Hellsing Ultimate treatment. Let the manga get close to finishing and make a series that follows the manga to a chapter, and actually try to get good animation for one of the best works of Japanese fiction ever.

Honestly I think HBO could throw a Game of Thrones budget to it and make a wicked live action series. If you thought the reaction to the Red Wedding was bad, wait until they see the Eclipse. By casting alone if they could nail Guts, Casca, and Griffith, they could easily carry the show.

At the risk of uttering heresy, I was fine with the 2016 series animation. I won't say it was good, but it didn't bother me. Unfortunately, I feel the chances of Berserk finishing are rapidly approaching A Song of Ice and Fire levels.

I would love a live-action Berserk. I think the Golden Age would be great, I'm not sure they could pull it off after that. It would take an awful lot of good CGI to make the Eclipse happen, and after that it pretty much stays like that. Although I don't know if the Eclipse could be made on American television in 2021.

True, controversial would be an understatement, SJWs would be all over it(no ifs ands or buts)

I will say that I largely noticed the animation issues on multiple viewings and after reading the complaints online. The story is still good since it's following the manga, it's just a shame because the franchise deserves a big investment and a major effort but it simply has not happened yet.

I guess to bring it back full circle, who's the best hero turned villain: Eren vs Griffith vs Light vs Lelouch?

Berserk's release schedule is not quite that bad (although I still don't expect it to finish, we are still getting some content). Hunter X Hunter on the other hand hasn't had a release in close to 2.5 years and Vagabond is >5 years now.

Still, you have to appreciate that he drew out the Casca storyline for 20 years, got all the way to the end, and then jumped to another plot thread for like 6-7 chapters.

I just hope they use some form of fast travel to get back to the mainland...I can't handle being on a boat for 8.5 years again.

Not gonna lie, having just moved to the area, I have thought about driving by just to see the office (even though I know I can't enter). A lot of fond memories have come from that place.

Just a couple of episodes in to season 3. Very well done show so far. I like the angle they are taking in season 3.

Not saying I would defend him, but, in all fairness, he was very open that he would throw away the lives of everyone he knew if it was necessary to achieve his dream. It's really just a matter of whether you believe there is a difference in that happening in battle vs the way it eventually happened (personally I do).

Yes, haven't been talking about it since most of the people in here seemed to be anime only.

Is everyone caught up? The last two episodes have been very intriguing in terms of where we are going and what is going to happen to close out the series.

Caught up. I am really interested to see how they wrap this all up. I wish they had a part 2 season 4 like they did for season 3. There just seems to be so many more stories they could dive into and go deeper with the current ones. But that is a good problem to have where you wish there were more episodes because it is such a good show.

I just read that this weekend is the season finale. That can't be right, right? There just seems to be way too much more left to tell.

First of all, they've announced there will indeed be a Season 4 Part 2, but we will have to wait until 2022 to see it.

Now, on to the Seaon 4 Part 1 ender...

Insane. What a great episode. Tension builds from start to finish, and the cliffhanger is enormous. No one can trust anyone, but understandably so.

So many unknowns.

It's going to be a long year waiting.

Glad for second part to the season. No chance of a satisfying ending otherwise.

I am planning on signing up for funimation via playstation. Should get a 90 day trial to watch this as well as whatever else I need to catch up on, so if anyone has funimation suggestions I will take them...

Just the sub.

Felt like this season was like episode 1 and 2 in star wars. 1 badass battle, and then hours of political drama. The story is still great (so it's got that over the prequels), but I'm more here to watch badass fights with some good story, than a good story with some badass fights.

And the last chapter of the manga should be out soon so if you're anime only be wary of spoilers.

Definitely felt a little rushed but that often happens with series that have such a large cast of characters.

Maybe the anime gets an opportunity to flesh the ending out more. It's not bad as is, but I would definitely love to see the impact on the characters fleshed out more moreso than what we got. He had to explain a lot in the first half of the chapter and that obviously ate into the ability to wrap up things.

All in all still one of the best series in recent history.

Loved the show but felt duped when the finale wasn't the series finale. Not looking forward to waiting on the ending. Never watched an anime series and thought this was excellent.

Mikasa and Armin are great characters. Eren was the only character I disliked.
