Hell yeah, Hange and Levi are back!
Well, sort of. Clinging to life on a pallet isn't what I'd call back! :-)OCEN99 said:

Where the hell are the rest of you? Just watched episode 17 Judgment. That's all I can watch with YouTube tv
Get Funimation or Crunchyroll.
Well now he's advanced to sitting up, talking, wheeling & dealing. He should be back to his normal ass-kicking self in an episode or two.Fightin TX Aggie said:Well, sort of. Clinging to life on a pallet isn't what I'd call back! :-)OCEN99 said:

Well, looks like the band's getting back together for a final tour.
On a side note, my friend is catching up on AoT and I told him to text me just before he reached "Perfect Game" and "Hero" in my opinion the two best episodes of the whole show. Gosh, I kinda miss those times.

Mikasa is a beast, just not a Titan.

Maybe the best two words of dialogue in the series. (Final episode of S1)
There is a third part to the final season? Jesus.aTmLoKi said:
I kept checking the run time last night and couldn't believe how much they were going to try and cram into that episode. I do appreciate it weaving back into what happened when they got to Marley and where Eren made some of the changes that he did. I felt like this part was a lot more jumbled and am glad there will be some more time to explore the final part of this. It just sucks we have to wait until 2023.
I believe that was the start of this season - where Eren was faking the injury (that this episode was showing) and where they had plotted the sneak attack. It does feel like forever ago where this took place.YouBet said:aTmLoKi said:

Was it mentioned at some point that the group had traveled to Marley before present day? I don't remember that at all which was why i was confused.
I may have to go back and look for the mention then. There was never any "footage" of them there before so it must have just been a mention or this is just another "retcon" kind of reveal after the fact. Not really a retcon per se...just can't think of a better word.aTmLoKi said:I believe that was the start of this season - where Eren was faking the injury (that this episode was showing) and where they had plotted the sneak attack. After everything I read, I thought this was going to be the end/end and can't believe we have to wait for another part.
But when? Was this simply an off screen event that happened between seasons that they are retroactively adding?Fightin TX Aggie said:
They infiltrated Marley to assess it and also to try to find people they could reach out to for prospects of peace.
Eren witnessed the depth of hatred for Eldians and realized peace wasn't possible. He cried as he watched the good people the rumbling would kill. Even though there could not be peace, he recognized that these were just people. Many of them good people.
For a moment, he considered just running away with Mikasa to live out his last 4 years in happiness, and to not be responsible for world genocide. He asked Mikasa why she loved him. She blushed but ended up saying he was like family.
So, when Mikasa thought back to that moment, she wondered if world history might have changed if she just shared her true feelings.
This flashback also gives some weight to when Eren was fighting the war hammer titan in the square in Marley. Mikasa helped save him, and that was the first time they'd seen each other since that night on the hill, when he asked her why she loved him.

They're not retroactively adding it. They've mentioned it several times in previous episodes, and flashing back to Eren's time there is a pretty common story telling tactic that has been used a lot in this show. In fact, I thought this was one of the least confusing flashbacks that they have had.YouBet said:But when? I'm just trying to make sure I'm not crazy. Pretty complex show and I've missed stuff before.

There was a big gap between season 3 and 4, that's how there as time to build all the trains and ships, as well as eliminate all the Titans on the island. That's why Eren only has four years left to live now.
