In the extended interview with DX on cbs.com, Kyland's goodbye message mentions being in an alliance that is still in the house. Is that the first mention/hint during goodbye messages this season?

Not sure if smart or not since could be a battle back. Granted even if DX came back he wouldn't last for long unless the Cookout fractured.

Claire wins Coin of Destiny and kept nominations the same? What a waste of the power

Couldn't she have taken over the HoH completely or something like that

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yes, it was for complete takeover of the HoH and noms. Non-cookout deserves to lose at this point
HTownAg98
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Well, they're outnumbered 6-3, so the chance they could do anything is pretty slim. But making dumb moves doesn't help.

Except if she took over the HOH and put up 3 from the cookout
HTownAg98

My point is in the long run it doesn't matter. Someone from the cookout is winning this year. The only way that doesn't happen is if SB, Alyssa, and Claire can go on an unprecedented winning streak.

No posts since yesterday? Y'all weren't joking about being done with this season.

Claire definitely handed this season to the Cookout. Guess I'll change who I'm rooting for to Xavier. Absolutely wild to me that someone like Derek F is still in the game.

What happened after the commercial break during Claire's turn. We lost the recording because of damn 60 minutes

She rolled on two more coins (total of three), chose heads for the coin flip, and the coin flip was heads making her the "secret" HoH that just reelects Tiffany's noms. Basically fell for the cookout's trap and sealed her fate next week when she can't compete for HOH and all six CO members can

But it works out perfectly for production since it is Xavier and Tiffany's side pieces on the block (Alyssa and Claire).

Is it just me or were all 3 of the "High Roller" powers just a waste / wasted. They did nothing to shake up the game. They were won and flushed out. The roulette wheel had a chance but everyone in veto except Derek F were planning on taking X of to put DX up so it did nothing either in my opinion. They should just drop the tag line of "Expect the unexpeted" because everything this season (and probably the last 3 seasons) has been expected.

Telling the houseguest the power was idiotic. Almost makes me feel that they want the 6 to steamroll

This season was set up that way from the start. From the casting, to how the original teams were done by "random" draw on that slot machine, and how an all-black alliance was divined upon the houseguests on day 3. Allah CBS has willed it.

I think its pretty clear too. Given what happened in the country the last year, and the fact that this alliance legitimately doesn't even really like each other, barely talks, but continues to prioritize it more than anything. Production is clearly meddling.

Honestly might be my last season. This is garbage for multiple reasons.

Same, sadly. Been a fun but the show is a shell of its former self. Getting very close to being done for good.

I said it before, but I'd rather watch Paul and his minions than this crap.

Thanks for ruining my summer entertainment, CBS.

I can only handle one stupid show a year, big brother occupies that spot.

..however i have heard love island is a solid replacement.

it's going to be interesting next year when people are going to start thinking others are in an alliance due to the color of their skin thinking it could be The Cookout Too. They may be targeted due to the actions of the folks in this current season.

I actually don't mind it. They're playing it well and sticking to their alliance, something an early all female alliance could never do. Will be interesting once the Cookout implodes if it will divide based on sex. If so, not sure where Derek F will fall.

100% agree. I compare it to people voting out a girl/guy simply because they think there is an all girl/guy alliance and/or they're getting too many numbers.

Yep. You can bet that had Sarah Beth won power of veto this week instead of Hannah, Claire would have put up Alyssa (who is no threat to anyone and might be the perfect person to take to a final 2 because she hasn't won much) in her place instead of a Cookout member. Its just worked out too perfectly for the cookout all season for it to be a coincidence.

Also, I think sticking to an alliance based on nothing but race has taken its toll on the members. Azah with Brittani, Hannah with Derek X, Kylan with Sarah Beth, etc. they built friendships with those people regardless of color and are having a tough time coming to grips with their deception yet are beholden to the racial game it seems.

Xavier is the glue, he did an insanely good job andcalming down the different personalities and keeping them together.

This also makes me wonder if the DR is pushing this too, because even the strongest alliances fractured much earlier than this.
Aggie09Derek

This is completely different than most alliances. They don't really have to talk game hardly at all. Just understood that no matter what it will be them to be the final 6.

A lot of guilt if one were to be the one that broke up the group and a black person didn't end up winning due to that person.
tailgatetimer10
How long do you want to ignore this user?

But it's not. Tiffany/Derek F were very close to breaking into their own ways until X and the DR got involved.

Highly doubt they would have ever voted out anyone in the cookout despite getting worked up

It is hopefully going to be improved next year. More like the UK, longer season, more viewer participation etc. Heck this year could have been way better but they brought some of the best girls in late. They also need more competition in my opinion that actually ties to couple perks not just competitions for sake of TV.

I think this is going to be a major issue for the next few years. Just like how meat heads were routinely targets because people thought they were working together. I think it should also be on more days a week with less editing just showing peoples conversations and interactions. Then allow votes from home to play a part more.

They are definitely getting some "help." Tiffany did a lot of talk about putting up the guys, which would be a smart move right now while you can still have some votes on your side, and it would be a big game move. So on the block are Xavier, Kyland, and...Sarah Beth. I can see putting her up because she's a couple with Kyland, but that's not why she's up there. The next three HOHs are scripted already assuming SB goes home on Thursday and nothing wonky happens with the POV. Claire could be the only wrench in this as she's won a couple of comps.
Claire can't play in the HOH this upcoming Sunday. The Cookout throws it to Alyssa, and they convince her to nominate Claire. Claire goes home. Alyssa can't play in the HOH the following week, so The Cookout wins, and Alyssa is nominated. Alyssa goes home.

The cookout alliance has been good, but there's been others that were just as good or better and didn't have the assistance they're getting this season. Seven seems to be the max number you can have and still hold things together. And even then, they have to like each other enough to keep things together. The cookout definitely does not like each other (probably why they don't talk much game as a group), and it's why production is meddling a bunch to hold it together.

It's a problem with the game when you get one big alliance that sticks together. They run (ruin) the game, and it's incredibly boring. Sadly, I don't know what you can do to break it and make the game better.

Get production to quit meddling in the game. I liked it more when the game was allowed to just flow and not forced to go a certain direction. I know production has always had a hand in it since the show started, it just seems now as it is all hands on deck and scripted. Not much "reality" left to it.
HTownAg98
How long do you want to ignore this user?
That is priority number one. My point is more to how do you keep a core of six and a couple of affiliates from completely controlling the game? Maybe less meddling would allow for these alliances to fall apart? I don't know if that's the answer in all cases, but it seems to be the case this year.

If I had the power I would start with....

1) Cast people who had very little knowledge of the show.
2) Re-introduce all of the first 4 houseguests evicted right before everyone thinks they are down to Jury members
3) Have America occasionally vote people out instead of the house

If they are going to meddle, at least meddle in a way that causes maximum drama
