In the extended interview with DX on cbs.com, Kyland's goodbye message mentions being in an alliance that is still in the house. Is that the first mention/hint during goodbye messages this season?
This season was set up that way from the start. From the casting, to how the original teams were done by "random" draw on that slot machine, and how an all-black alliance was divined upon the houseguests on day 3.tailgatetimer10 said:
Telling the houseguest the power was idiotic. Almost makes me feel that they want the 6 to steamroll

Yep. You can bet that had Sarah Beth won power of veto this week instead of Hannah, Claire would have put up Alyssa (who is no threat to anyone and might be the perfect person to take to a final 2 because she hasn't won much) in her place instead of a Cookout member. Its just worked out too perfectly for the cookout all season for it to be a coincidence.HTownAg98 said:This season was set up that way from the start. It is hopefully going to be improved next year. More like the UK, longer season, more viewer participation etc. Heck this year could have been way better but they brought some of the best girls in late. They also need more competition in my opinion that actually ties to couple perks not just competitions for sake of TV.HYC_AG said:Did you try love island?tailgatetimer10 said:

I think this is going to be a major issue for the next few years. Just like how meat heads were routinely targets because people thought they were working together. I think it should also be on more days a week with less editing just showing peoples conversations and interactions. Then allow votes from home to play a part more.Flashdiaz said:
it's going to be interesting next year when people are going to start thinking others are in an alliance due to the color of their skin thinking it could be The Cookout Too. They may be targeted due to the actions of the folks in this current season.
I actually don't mind it. They're playing it well and sticking to their alliance, something an early all female alliance could never do. Will be interesting once the Cookout implodes if it will divide based on sex. If so, not sure where Derek F will fall.
They are definitely getting some "help." Tiffany did a lot of talk about putting up the guys, which would be a smart move right now while you can still have some votes on your side, and it would be a big game move. So on the block are Xavier, Kyland, and...Sarah Beth. I can see putting her up because she's a couple with Kyland, but that's not why she's up there. The next three HOHs are scripted already assuming SB goes home on Thursday and nothing wonky happens with the POV. Claire could be the only wrench in this as she's won a couple of comps.tailgatetimer10 said:
Xavier is the glue, he did an insanely good job andcalming down the different personalities and keeping them together.
This also makes me wonder if the DR is pushing this too, because even the strongest alliances fractured much earlier than this.
Get production to quit meddling in the game. I liked it more when the game was allowed to just flow and not forced to go a certain direction. I know production has always had a hand in it since the show started, it just seems now as it is all hands on deck and scripted. Not much "reality" left to it.HTownAg98 said:They are definitely getting some "help." Claire can't play in the HOH this upcoming Sunday. The Cookout throws it to Alyssa, and they convince her to nominate Claire. Claire goes home. Alyssa can't play in the HOH the following week, so The Cookout wins, and Alyssa is nominated. Alyssa goes home.
The cookout alliance has been good, but there's been others that were just as good or better and didn't have the assistance they're getting this season. Seven seems to be the max number you can have and still hold things together. And even then, they have to like each other enough to keep things together. The cookout definitely does not like each other (probably why they don't talk much game as a group), and it's why production is meddling a bunch to hold it together.
It's a problem with the game when you get one big alliance that sticks together. They run (ruin) the game, and it's incredibly boring. Sadly, I don't know what you can do to break it and make the game better.
