So the final vote was 9-0 but Julie didn't reveal the other votes after the 5-0 winning tally. Do they normally reveal the other votes?

And that boys and girls is what you call racism if you are a normal well adjusted individual.

There was no way anyone was going to express a contrary view tonight. They would get excoriated. I just hope they realize in private that they were all pawns.

X was a very deserving winner
Maybe, but the cookout wasn't much different than any of the other powerful alliances that have bullied their way to a super-majority of sorts as the house whittles itself down to the final 5 or 6 people. The cookout was a little different in that it was race-based, so they all viewed the 6 of them being final-6 as an achievement in and of itself. But all alliances die at some point, even if it's on finale night and one person wins and the other loses, so the cookout was no different in that respect. Every single person truly competing to win knows that if they're going to win it, everybody else has to go. And it sure didn't take long for X to boot his strongest competition when the opportunity presented itself (post-final-6 anyways). I think X was thoroughly dominant this season, and while his fellow houseguest knew that too, he did an exceptional job of downplaying it when he could (throwing comps), and keeping the blood from being directly on his hands most of the time. He'd certainly be a target earlier had he not been in the dominant alliance, but I'd bet he'd still do pretty well.Bunk Moreland said:
I agree he was a good player, but in a normal season he'd have been targeted earlier and would have had to show at least some cards.
With the way it was this year he just got to coast, play it cool to the house, and work internally to keep the CO together.
I see what you did there, and that's a very good way of putting it.Jimmy McNulty said:
You hit it when said you know why it's different than every other powerful alliance. No other alliance had people turn a blind eye to admitting it even exists, much less deal with social pressure to dare targeting it. Not to mention likely production help. He played a good game, but he had....privilege's.
If they do that, I may be done. I stuck with it because there wasn't much else to watch, and was hoping it would turn into a dumpster fire of awfulness down the stretch. If they're going to turn it into "give the next victim group $750,000," they should just cast some, hold a raffle, and give out the money that way. At least you're being honest then.PermianBasinAggie said:
So, now that the Cookout has established the playbook, what happens next year? CBS has pledged to continue casting its shows like this, where half the cast is POC. Will the white houseguests target black houseguests because they're scared of the Cookout 2.0? Or will they play the role of good woke white person and continue pretending it's okay to get picked off because you're white? Can you imagine the outcry if next year, 2 black folks get nominated on week 1? Might as well slit your own throat.
Or maybe we move on to the next victim group who has never won big brother. No trans has ever won. Let's pack the cast and make next season's goal to go win one for Caitlyn!
Hell that's the whole reason this show exists since its inception.HTownAg98 said:

Notice how Frenchie didn't get a word on tonight's live show? I think he may not have been fully on board like everyone pretended to be.
I didn't know that. That's interestingStillNotAnAggie said:All I do is Nguyen said:

Frenchie has BLM painted on his truck and his best friend is a gay black guy. He was fully on board.

Yeah Frenchie was pushing for it before the CO even formed. My guess is they didn't give him airtime because 1) early evictees usually get a very short window if any and 2) he'd make it about himself and stammer into some weird point that doesn't make sense.
And he probably looks at that like a self sacrifice to making the season about the greater purpose by his doing.tailgatetimer10 said:Bunk Moreland said:

Frenchie likely graded REALLY poorly with the audience. He was immediately ranked the lowest houseguest by all the polls.
I think this is the obvious answer. No one liked him, period.
as a white guy with half my friends being Hispanic, and a love for Latin women...I FULLY support this idea!Flashdiaz said:
where do we complain about not enough hispanics on the show? I'd like for them to overcompensate and line up next season so we can have a La Pachanga alliance.
