Does anyone else think it's...interesting....that his girlfriend has a striking similarity to Deb? I have to think the writers did that on purpose.

Really surprised he went for the kill that fast. I thought Matt was going to be that unlikeable character who Dexter would be tempted to kill but he'd fight off the urge and all that because he didnt want to go back to his past self.
Will be interesting to see how this plays out and how he hides the evidence, with him living in a small town where everyone knows everything and this dude was clearly well known. Seems like a boneheaded move to kill him that fast without doing his due diligence but then again it was more of an impromptu kill.
I sure hope this season turns out to be good.

It honestly makes no sense now that I think about it. He's waited all this time and that ******bag Matt is the reason he breaks everything? Because he killed his precious deer friend? None of it was planned, none of it made sense. He just decided to snap and start murdering in a small town? It's ****ing stupid.
Further, why would he now decide to stay in this town? Because he has a girlfriend and a job selling guns? It all makes no sense at all.

For all we know, Harrison killed Hannah and that's what started his cross country killing spree on his way to Dexter. I mean, the kid turned to drugs at what? 12? Perhaps it was done to hide the shame of killing Hannah in Buenos Aires. He's not exactly a reliable source. Wouldn't it make more sense that Hannah would have sought him out somehow if she was in a slow decline due to cancer. Further, Harrison would have had opportunity and reason to exact revenge on the bad foster homes he apparently was in as well.

I wanted to like it more. Thought it was okay.
But the flag waving virtue-signaling for character selection is painfully obvious.
Assistant director and casting director got the checklist.
Gay guy (more flamboyant than not) ? CHECK!
Wheel chair character? CHECK!
Spoiled Cartoonishly Evil Male? CHECK!
Be on the look out next few episodes for:
Sympathetic good-hearted trans.
Asian (in any capacity).
Black guy/girl (strangely and affectionately not out of place in small town pacific NW that looks 100% white).

I must have missed the change of locale to New York but that would explain the Seneca tribe, which didn't sound correct for NW.
I also thought was cool that the Seneca chief that was pissed off about the deer is the guy who played the Comanche in the casino scene in Hell or High Water.
that what i was thinkingDro07 said:
not sure why we have spoiler tags on this but I think maybe Harrison did a deepfake or something to that extent and facetimed him.

I am wondering how the story with the nerdy kid at the high school is going to go
Was Harrison displaying his unguided code or is he evil as well?NC2001 said:
After watching last night's episode, I think Harrison is a lot like his Daddy more than we know! Does Dexter teach him about the code, or does he try to stop him?
