I guess it all comes down to what is "society". Id imagine he has a job and family and is doing fine in day to day 'society". Texags is a very small and seemingly close knit community and I dont think someone like that has any place here in this "society". Just because his court imposed debt is paid doesn't mean that he has to be welcomed with open arms. Texags is probably 80% people from 20 to 65 who have a family. Its not Walmart. I guess that is my point. Why would a group such as this want someone like that in their ranks?
But honestly, if the doxing stuff is true it would probably behoove any dissenter from posting anything negative because who knows what someone backed against a wall will do.
Last thing I really want to say on this is that Barnes scammed money and it was all returned and he will never be allowed to post openly on this board again. Jorts scammed money and went to jail and he will never be allowed to post openly on this board again. This guy scammed women for naked photographs and was convicted and people are torn on whether he should be posting here? One of those things does not line up with others.

I guess in my posting here for as long as I have, I've just accepted the fact that there is probably every type of criminal possible on this forum. I fully expect that is the case. I don't think what someone has done really impacts me that much, but it does give me pause. I have a young daughter.... this crap absolutely makes me sick to my stomach.
Obviously if a poster continues to be a degenerate, I'm not interested in being their friend or whatever we think of each other in this community, but that just seems impossible to really know.
People who have been banned in the past have used their position within Texags as a poster or, in Jorts' case, the very reputation of Texags for their own fradulent gain. IMO, that is what separates them from other cases like this. How many multi time DUI offenders are here? Basically everyone here is afraid of the thread getting removed.
Truth be told, for me it's just WANTING to believe he's changed, because obviously his history is pretty despicable.
It's just tough when you feel like you're genuine e-friends with someone and this stuff comes out. Can't imagine how it is for real life friends, like the James Franco example.

I think a lot of you prefer actual criminals to those of us who realized the last two Star Wars movies were garbage.
I can't really argue with any opinion that has been posted. I think everyone is making great points.

I knew a poster here who was a semi-regular, literally went to jail for a year, and then came back and continued posting, with no one the wiser. Considering all the weirdos and crazies all over the forums, especially on the GB and F16, this place is more than likely full of criminals guilty of breaking nearly every law we have. But yeah, I don't know where to draw the line either. I think it's just a personal responsibility/preference thing. You can either choose to interact with certain individuals, on certain boards, or not. Otherwise, let the mods do whatever it is they're gonna do.

I've never had a problem with Muck. In fact, I feel e-friendly enough to just call him "Muck" without going through all the standard formalities of message board cordiality. If he ever posted any political hot takes, I missed them, and I think it's cynical to throw up the "Forum 16" defense just because some people here would bite on it.

This is the craziest thing I've seen on this site since the MFBarnes outing. I'm all for TexAgs keeping his account active but his username will be forever tainted. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to look past it, whether innocent or not.
At this point I'm just confused how so many long term people did not manage to catch all this when it came out previously. I haven't seen anything I didn't know before today yet.
